Al-Anbiya Ayah 104
99-/7211 _10- Muhammad b. al-‘Abbas said: Hamid b. Ziyad narrated to us, with a chain that raises it to Abu Jamila, from ‘Amr b. Rushayd, from Abu Ja‘far (peace be upon him), that he said—in a hadith: “The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and his family) said: Indeed ‘Ali and his Shia on the Day of Resurrection will be upon mounds of pure, fresh musk; people will be terrified but they will not be terrified; people will grieve but they will not grieve. And it is the saying of Allah, Mighty and Majestic:
[Shakir 21:103] The great terror shall not grieve them, and the angels shall meet them: This is your day which you were promised.”
99-/7212 _11- Ibn Babawayh said: My father (may Allah have mercy on him) narrated to me; he said: Sa‘d b. ‘Abd Allah narrated to me, raising it to Abu Basir, from Abu ‘Abd Allah, from his forefathers, from the Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon them), in a long hadith similar to what has preceded from the narration of al-Hasan b. Rashid from Abu ‘Abd Allah (peace be upon him) [1] with slight variation; and in the hadith: “O ‘Ali, you and your Shia uphold justice, and you are Allah’s chosen among His creation. O ‘Ali, I shall be the first to shake the dust from my head and you will be with me, then the rest of creation. O ‘Ali, you and your Shia will be at the Basin; you will give drink to whom you wish and prevent whom you wish; and you are those secure on the Day of the Greatest Terror under the shade of the Throne. People will be terrified but you will not be terrified; people will grieve but you will not grieve. About you this verse was revealed:
[Shakir 21:101] Surely (as for) those for whom the good has already gone forth from Us, they shall be kept far off from it.
[Shakir 21:102] They will not hear its faintest sound, and they shall abide in that which their souls desire.
[Shakir 21:103] The great terror shall not grieve them, and the angels shall meet them: This is your day which you were promised.
O ‘Ali, you and your Shia will be sought at the Standing, while you are in the Gardens enjoying yourselves.” And he continued the hadith at length.
And Ibn Babawayh: he included the hadith of al-Hasan b. Rashid from Abu ‘Abd Allah (peace be upon him) earlier in the book al-Amali [2]. And this hadith of Abu Basir from Abu ‘Abd Allah (peace be upon him) he included in the book Fada’il al-Shi‘a [3].
[Shakir 21:104] The day when We will roll up the heaven like the rolling up of the scroll for writings; as We originated the first creation, We shall reproduce it; a promise binding on Us; surely We shall bring it about.
99-/7213 _1- Al-Husayn b. Sa‘id in his book al-Zuhd said: Muhammad b. Abi ‘Umayr narrated to us, from Muhammad b. Humran, from Zurara, who said: I heard Abu ‘Abd Allah (peace be upon him) say: “There is no one except that with him are two angels who write down what he utters, then they raise that to
99-/7213 _1- two angels above them, who record what was of good and evil, and they discard what is other than that.” And it will come—God willing—under Surat Qaf from the narrations on that [1].
99-/7214 _1- And from him: from al-Nadr b. Suwayd, from al-Husayn b. Musa, from Abu Hamza, from Abu Ja‘far (peace be upon him), who said: “In the air there is an angel called Isma‘il, in charge of three hundred thousand angels, each one of them over a hundred thousand, who enumerate the deeds of the servants. When the year’s head arrives, Allah sends to them an angel called al-Sijill, and he copies that from them. And it is the saying of Allah, Blessed and Exalted:
[Shakir 21:104] The day when We will roll up the heaven like the rolling up of the scroll for writings; as We originated the first creation, We shall reproduce it; a promise binding on Us; surely We shall bring it about.”
99-/7215 _2- ‘Ali b. Ibrahim said: “Al-Sijill is the name of the angel who rolls up the books. And the meaning of ‘We roll them up’ is: We annihilate them—so the heaven becomes smoke and the earth fire.”
[Shakir 21:105] And certainly We wrote in the Book after the reminder that (as for) the land, My righteous servants shall inherit it.
[Shakir 21:106] Most surely in this is a message to a people who serve.
99-/7216 _3- Muhammad b. Ya‘qub: from Muhammad, from Ahmad b. Muhammad, from al-Husayn b. Sa‘id, from al-Nadr b. Suwayd, from ‘Abd Allah b. Sinan, from Abu ‘Abd Allah (peace be upon him), that he was asked about the saying of Allah, Mighty and Majestic: “And certainly We wrote in the Book after the reminder…” What is the Zabur, and what is the Dhikr? He said: “The Dhikr is with Allah, and the Zabur is that which was sent down to David; and every book that has been sent down—its knowledge is with the People of Knowledge, and we are they.”
99-/7217 _4- Muhammad b. al-‘Abbas said: Ahmad b. Muhammad narrated to us, from Ahmad b. al-Husayn, from his father, from al-Husayn b. Mukhariq, from Abu al-Ward, from Abu Ja‘far (peace be upon him), who said: “His saying, Mighty and Majestic: ‘The land shall be inherited by My righteous servants’—it is the Family of Muhammad (may Allah bless him and his family).”
99-/7218 _5- And from him, he said: Muhammad b. ‘Ali narrated to us; he said: My father narrated to me, from his father, from ‘Ali b. al-Hakam, from Sufyan b. Ibrahim al-Jariri, from Abu Sadiq, who said: I asked Abu Ja‘far (peace be upon him) about the saying of Allah, Mighty and Majestic:
