تبرك در لغت به معناي طلب بركت است و بركت به معناي زيادت و رشد يا سعادت است. [7] تبرك به چيزي؛ يعني طلب بركت از طريق آن شيء. و در اصطلاح به معناي طلب بركت از طريق چيزها يا حقيقت هايي است كه خداوند متعال براي آنها امتيازها و مقام هاي خاصي قرار داده است؛ همانند لمس كردن يا بوسيدن دست پيامبر(صلي الله عليه وآله) يا برخي از آثار آن حضرت بعد از وفاتش. Meaning of Tabarruk

Tabarruk in the linguistic sense means seeking blessing (ṭalab al-barakah), and barakah means increase, growth, or prosperity. [7] To seek tabarruk in something means to seek blessing through that thing. In terminology, it refers to seeking blessings through those objects or realities to which Allah, the Exalted, has granted special distinction and rank — such as touching or kissing the hand of the Prophet (sawa), or some of his relics after his passing.
