Aal ‘Imran, verse 184
99-/2001 _3-
99-/2001 _3-
Al-‘Ayyashi: from Sama‘ah, who said: I heard Abu ‘Abdillah (peace be upon him) say regarding Allah’s word: Say: Indeed there have come to you apostles before me with clear arguments and with that which you demand; why then did you kill them if you are truthful?: “He knew that these people did not kill, but their desire was with those who killed. So Allah, exalted, named them killers because they followed their desire and were pleased with that deed.”
99-/2002 _4-
99-/2002 _4-
From ‘Umar b. Ma‘mar, he said: Abu ‘Abdillah (peace be upon him) said: “May Allah curse the Qadariyyah; may Allah curse the Haruriyyah; may Allah curse the Murji’ah; may Allah curse the Murji’ah.”
He said: I said to him: May I be your ransom, how is it that you cursed these once, and cursed those twice? He said: “These claimed that those who killed us were believers. Their clothes are stained with our blood until the Day of Resurrection. Do you not hear Allah’s saying: Those who said: Surely Allah has enjoined us that we should not believe in any apostle until he brings to us an offering which fire consumes. Say: Indeed there have come to you apostles before me with clear arguments … to His saying: … truthful? There were five hundred years between those who were addressed with this statement and the killers, yet Allah named them killers due to their approval of what those did.”
99-/2003 _5-
99-/2003 _5-
Muhammad b. Hashim, from someone who narrated to him, from Abu ‘Abdillah (peace be upon him), said: “When this verse was revealed: Say: Indeed there have come to you apostles before me with clear arguments and with that which you demand; why then did you kill them if you are truthful? He knew that they said: By Allah, we neither killed nor witnessed. It was only said to them: Disavow their killers, but they refused.”
99-/2004 _6-
99-/2004 _6-
From Muhammad b. al-Arqat, from Abu ‘Abdillah (peace be upon him), he said to me: “Do you reside in Kufa?” I said: Yes. He said: “So do you see the killers of al-Husayn among you?” I said: May I be your ransom, I have not seen any of them! He said: “Then you only regard as the killer the one who struck the blow or directly undertook the killing? Have you not heard Allah’s saying: Say: Indeed there have come to you apostles before me with clear arguments and with that which you demand; why then did you kill them if you are truthful? Which messenger did those kill among whom Muhammad (may Allah bless him and his family) lived, when there was no messenger between him and ‘Isa (peace be upon them)? They merely approved the killing of those [earlier messengers], so they were called killers.”
Quran 3:184
But if they reject you, so indeed were rejected apostles before you who came with clear arguments and scriptures and the illuminating book. (M. H. Shakir)

‘Ali b. Ibrahim said: In the narration of Abu al-Jarud, from Abu Ja‘far (peace be upon him), regarding His saying, exalted is He: But if they reject you, so indeed were rejected apostles before you who came with clear arguments—the “clear arguments” are the signs; “the scriptures (zubur)” are the books of the prophets concerning prophethood; and “the illuminating book” is the [book of] lawful and unlawful.
Quran 3:185
Every soul shall taste of death, and you shall only be paid fully your reward on the resurrection day; then whoever is removed far away from the fire and is made to enter the garden he indeed has attained the object; and the life of this world is nothing but a provision of vanities. (M. H. Shakir)

‘Ali b. Ibrahim said: My father narrated to me, from Sulayman al-Daylami, from Abu Basir, from Abu ‘Abdillah (peace be upon him), who said: “When it is the Day of Resurrection, Muhammad (may Allah bless him and his family) will be called and clothed in a rose-colored robe, then he will be stationed at the right of the Throne. Then Ibrahim (peace be upon him) will be called and clothed in a white robe, and he will be stationed at the left of the Throne. Then ‘Ali, Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon him), will be called and clothed in a rose-colored robe, and he will be stationed at the right of the Prophet. Then Isma‘il (peace be upon him) will be called and clothed in a white robe, and he will be stationed at the left of Ibrahim (peace be upon him). Then al-Hasan (peace be upon him) will be called and clothed in a rose-colored robe, and he will be stationed at the right of the Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon him). Then al-Husayn (peace be upon him) will be called and clothed in a rose-colored robe, and he will be stationed at the right of al-Hasan (peace be upon him). Then the Imams will be called and clothed in rose-colored robes, and each one will be stationed to the right of his companion. Then the Shi‘a will be called, and they will stand before them. Then Fatimah (peace be upon her) will be called along with the women from her progeny and her Shi‘a, and they will enter Paradise without reckoning.
Then a caller will call out from the midst of the Throne, on behalf of the Lord of Might and the highest horizon: ‘Excellent is your father, O Muhammad—and he is Ibrahim; and excellent is your brother—and he is ‘Ali b. Abi Talib; and excellent are your two grandsons—and they are al-Hasan and al-Husayn; and excellent is your miscarried child—and he is Muhassin; and excellent are the rightly guided Imams—your progeny, namely so-and-so and so-and-so up to their last; and excellent are your Shi‘a—your Shi‘a. Lo! Muhammad and his legatee and his two grandsons and the Imams from his progeny—they are the successful.’ Then they will be commanded to enter Paradise, and that is His saying: then whoever is removed far away from the fire and is made to enter the garden he indeed has attained the object.”
