Al-Mustadrak Surah Yunus

قوله تعالى:

إِنَّ فِي اخْتِلَافِ اللَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ وَمَا خَلَقَ اللّٰهُ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ لَآيَاتٍ لِقَوْمٍ يَتَّقُونَ [يونس: 6]

Most surely in the alternation of the night and the day and (in) what Allah has created in the heavens and the earth there are signs for a people who guard (against evil). [Qur’an 10:6, M. H. Shakir]

99- _1- الزَّمَخْشَرِيُّ فِي (رَبِيعِ الْأَبْرَارِ): عَنْ عَلِيٍّ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ): «مَنِ اقْتَبَسَ عِلْماً مِنْ عِلْمِ النُّجُومِ مِنْ حَمَلَةِ الْقُرْآنِ، ازْدَادَ بِهِ إِيمَاناً وَيَقِيناً». ثُمَّ تَلَا: إِنَّ فِي اخْتِلَافِ اللَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ الْآيَةَ.

99- _1- Rabi‘ al-Abrar 1:117: Al-Zamakhsharī, in Rabi‘ al-Abrar, from ‘Alī (peace be upon him): “Whoever acquires knowledge from the science of the stars, being among the bearers of the Qur’an, his faith and certitude increase thereby.” Then he recited: “Indeed, in the alternation of the night and the day ...” the verse.

قوله تعالى:

وَلَا تَكُونَنَّ مِنَ الَّذِينَ كَذَّبُوا بِآيَاتِ اللّٰهِ فَتَكُونَ مِنَ الْخَاسِرِينَ [يونس: 95]

And be not of those who reject the communications of Allah, for then you should be one of the losers. [Qur’an 10:95, M. H. Shakir]

_2- ابنُ شَهْرِ آشُوب: عَنْ أَبِي القَاسِمِ الكُوفِيّ، فِي قَوْلِهِ تَعَالَى: وَلَا تَكُونَنَّ مِنَ الَّذِينَ كَذَّبُوا بِآيَاتِ اللّٰهِ فَتَكُونَ مِنَ الْخَاسِرِينَ، يَعْنِي بِالْآيَاتِ هَاهُنَا الأَوْصِيَاءَ المُتَقَدِّمِينَ وَالْمُتَأَخِّرِينَ.

_2- al-Manāqib 2:253: Ibn Shahr Āshūb: from Abū al-Qāsim al-Kūfī, regarding His saying, “And be not of those who reject the communications of Allah, for then you should be one of the losers,” he said that what is meant by “the āyāt” here are the trustees (awṣiyā’) both the earlier and the later.
