14. The Care of Imam Husain (a.s.) Toward the Late Mirza Ali Shirazi

The late Agha Mirza Ali Shirazi Isfahani (1294–1375 AH), who was a student of Akhund Khorasani and Sayyid Yazdi, was among the practicing scholars, about whom the late Martyr Mutahhari has written very appreciatively in his book “A Study of Nahj al-Balagha.” Among other things, he relates:

One night, in a dream, I saw that I had passed away. Imam Husain (a.s.) came to me and said:

“You have not died; this is a dream. Our care and grace are with you. That dog you saw represents your anger; if you wish to stay with us, you must never be angry.”

He (Mirza Ali Shirazi) was so refined and observant of the rules of Sharia that, throughout his life, he never even once gave a command to his wife.
