سورة هود

Its Merit

99-/4996 _1- ابْنُ بَابَوَيْهِ:عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ(عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَمُ)قَالَ: «مَنْ قَرَأَ سُورَةَ هُودٍ فِي كُلِّ جُمُعَةٍ بَعَثَهُ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ فِي زُمْرَةِ النَّبِيِّينَ،وَ لَمْ تُعْرَفْ لَهُ خَطِيئَةٌ عَمِلَهَا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ».

99-/4996 _1- Ibn Bābawayh: from Abū Jaʿfar (peace be upon him), who said: “Whoever recites Sūrat Hūd every Friday, Allah the Exalted will resurrect him on the Day of Resurrection among the company of the prophets, and no sin that he committed will be known against him on the Day of Resurrection.”

99-/4997 _2- الْعَيَّاشِيُّ:عَنِ ابْنِ سِنَانٍ،عَنْ جَابِرٍ،عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ(عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَمُ)قَالَ: «مَنْ قَرَأَ سُورَةَ هُودٍ فِي كُلِّ جُمُعَةٍ بَعَثَهُ اللَّهُ [1] فِي زُمْرَةِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَ النَّبِيِّينَ،وَ حُوسِبَ حِسَاباً يَسِيراً،وَ لَمْ يَعْرِفْ خَطِيئَةً عَمِلَهَا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ».

99-/4997 _2- Al-ʿAyyāshī: from Ibn Sinān, from Jābir, from Abū Jaʿfar (peace be upon him), who said: “Whoever recites Sūrat Hūd every Friday, Allah will resurrect him [1] among the company of the believers and the prophets; he will be taken to an easy account, and no sin that he committed will be known against him on the Day of Resurrection.”

99-/4998 _3- وَ مِنْ كِتَابِ(خَوَاصِّ الْقُرْآنِ):رُوِيَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ(صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ آلِهِ)أَنَّهُ قَالَ: «مَنْ قَرَأَ هَذِهِ السُّورَةَ أُعْطِيَ مِنَ الْأَجْرِ وَ الثَّوَابِ بِعَدَدِ مَنْ صَدَّقَ هُوداً وَ الْأَنْبِيَاءَ(عَلَيْهِمُ السَّلاَمُ)وَ مَنْ كَذَّبَ بِهِمْ،وَ كَانَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ فِي دَرَجَةِ الشُّهَدَاءِ، وَ حُوسِبَ حِسَاباً يَسِيراً».

99-/4998 _3- And in the book Khaṣāʾiṣ al-Qurʾān: it is narrated from the Prophet (blessings of Allah be upon him and his progeny) that he said: “Whoever recites this sūrah will be given a reward and recompense equal to the number of those who affirmed Hūd and the prophets (peace be upon them) and those who belied them; and on the Day of Resurrection he will be in the rank of the martyrs, and he will be taken to an easy account.”

99-/4999 _4- وَ رُوِيَ عَنِ الصَّادِقِ(عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَمُ): «مَنْ كَتَبَ هَذِهِ السُّورَةَ عَلَى رَقِّ ظَبْيٍ»وَ يَأْخُذُهَا مَعَهُ أَعْطَاهُ اللَّهُ قُوَّةً وَ نَصْراً،وَ لَوْ حَارَبَهُ مِائَةُ رَجُلٍ لاَنْتَصَرَ عَلَيْهِمْ وَ غَلَبَهُمْ،وَ إِنْ صَاحَ بِهِمُ انْهَزَمُوا،وَ كُلُّ مَنْ رَآهُ يَخَافُ مِنْهُ».

99-/4999 _4- And it is narrated from al-Ṣādiq (peace be upon him): “Whoever writes this sūrah on gazelle parchment and carries it with him, Allah will grant him strength and victory. Even if a hundred men were to fight him, he would triumph over them and prevail; and if he cries out at them, they would flee, and everyone who sees him would fear him.”
