99-/1059 _22- English: From Abu Basir, from Abu Abdullah (peace be upon him), who said: When a believing servant leaves his house to perform the Hajj, he does not take a single step, nor does his mount take a step with him, but that Allah writes for him a good deed for it, erases from him a sin for it, and raises him a degree for it. When he stands at Arafat, even if he had sins equal in number to the grains of sand, he returns as the day his mother bore him. It is said to him, “Begin your deeds anew.” Allah says: So whoever hastens in two days, there is no sin on him; and whoever delays, there is no sin on him for him who guards against evil (Qur’an 2:203; M. H. Shakir).

99-/1060 _23- English: From Abu Basir, in another narration, similar to it, but he added: When he shaves his head, not a single hair falls except that Allah places for him a light for it on the Day of Resurrection. Whatever he spends is written for him. When he circumambulates the House, he returns as the day his mother bore him.

99-/1061 _24- English: From Abu Hamzah al-Thumali, from Abu Ja‘far (peace be upon him), regarding His saying: So whoever hastens in two days, there is no sin on him; and whoever delays, there is no sin on him for him who guards against evil (Qur’an 2:203; M. H. Shakir). He said: By Allah, you are they. Indeed, the Messenger of Allah (blessings of Allah be upon him and his family) said: None remains firm upon the guardianship of Ali except the Godwary.

99-/1062 _25- English: From Hammad, from him, regarding His saying: for him who guards against evil (Qur’an 2:203; M. H. Shakir): [that is,] game; so if he is tried with something of hunting and provides its expiation, then he is not permitted to depart in two days.

Qur’an 2:204-205 (M. H. Shakir):

And among men is he whose speech about the life of this world causes you to wonder, and he calls on Allah to witness as to what is in his heart, yet he is the most violent of adversaries.

And when he turns back, he runs along in the land that he may cause mischief in it and destroy the tilth and the stock, and Allah does not love mischief.

He said: So-and-so and so-and-so. And [about]: and destroy the tilth and the stock (Qur’an 2:205; M. H. They said: “The stock (al-nasl) is the child; and the tilth (al-harth) is the land.”
