99-/6829) Ibn Bābawayh, with his chain previously mentioned under the merits of Sūrat al-Kahf, from al-Hasan, from ‘Umar, from Abān, from Abū ‘Abdillāh (peace be upon him), said: “Whoever persists in reciting Sūrat Maryam will not die until he attains what suffices him with respect to himself, his wealth, and his children; and in the Hereafter he will be among the companions of Jesus son of Mary (peace be upon him), and he will be given in the Hereafter [1] the like of the dominion of Solomon son of David (peace be upon them) in this world.”
99-/6830) And among (Khawāṣṣ al-Qur’ān): It is narrated from the Prophet (may Allah bless him and his family) that he said: “Whoever recites this sūrah will be given good deeds equal to the number of those who claimed for Allah a child—Glory be to Him, there is no god but He—and equal to the number of those who affirmed Zakariyyā, Yaḥyā, ‘Īsā, Mūsā, Ibrāhīm, Ismā‘īl, Isḥāq, and Ya‘qūb (peace be upon them), ten good deeds, and equal to the number of those who denied them; and a palace will be built for him in Paradise more expansive than the heaven and the earth, in the highest Garden of Firdaws; and he will be gathered with the Godwary in the first group of the foremost; and he will not die until he and his children become independent of need; and he will be given in Paradise like the dominion of Solomon (peace be upon him). And whoever writes it and hangs it upon himself will see nothing but good in his sleep; and if he writes it on the wall of the house, it will repel night assailants and guard what is in it; and if one who fears drinks it, he will be safe.”
99-/6831) And from al-Ṣādiq (peace be upon him): “Whoever writes it and places it in a glass vessel with a narrow mouth, clean, and puts it in his house, his good will become abundant, and he will see good things in his sleep, as he sees his family in his home; and if it is written upon the wall of the house, it will repel night assailants and guard what is in it; and if one who fears drinks it, he will be secure, by Allah Most High’s permission.”
