125. The Intercession of Janāb Ḥurr in the Presence of Hazrat Imam Husain (a.s.)

On Thursday, the third of Muḥarram al-Ḥarām 1422 AH, corresponding to 9/1/80 [Solar Hijri], the eloquent preacher, Ḥujjat al-Islām wal-Muslimīn Āghā Mīrhandī, narrated in Isfahān, at the Husainiyyah of the late Āyatullāh Muwaḥḥid Abṭaḥī, that a seminary student had a wife who was in the final stages of pregnancy. He brought his wife to Isfahān and left her in the care of his parents, then returned to the holy shrines.

In Karbalāʾ, when he entered the shrine of Hazrat Sayyid al-Shuhadāʾ (a.s.), he wished to pray for his wife’s childbirth—but out of shyness, he refrained. He went to the shrine of the Moon of Banī Hāshim (Hazrat ʿAbbās), but again felt shy. Then, in the shrine of Janāb Ḥurr, he turned to him in supplication and said: “You intercede in the presence of your Master, so that this delivery happens smoothly and without any problems.”

He went to his school and rested in the room of one of the students. In a dream, he saw himself in a gathering where a very great personality was present and surrounded by a group of noble figures. That great figure entered, and all rose in respect. He presented a letter to the chief of the gathering, who then turned his attention to this student and nodded his blessed head.

The student asked the person beside him, “Who is that great man?” He was told: “That is Hazrat Sayyid al-Shuhadāʾ (a.s.), these are the martyrs, and the one who brought the letter is Janāb Ḥurr.”

A few days later, a letter reached him through a traveler, and it became known that at that very moment, God had granted him a son, and his wife had no complications whatsoever.
