Translation (M. H. Shakir, Qur’an 16:75–76): Allah sets forth a parable: (Consider) a slave the property of another, having no power over anything, and one whom We have given from Ourselves goodly provision, so he spends from it secretly and openly; are the two alike? (All) praise is due to Allah! Nay, most of them do not know. And Allah sets forth a parable: Two men, one of them dumb, not able to do anything, and he is a burden to his master; wherever he sends him, he brings no good; is he equal with him who enjoins justice and he himself is on the right path?
