99-/7095 Whoever recites Surah al-Anbiya out of love for it will be like one who [1] accompanied all the prophets together in the Gardens of Bliss, and he will be held in awe in the eyes of people during the life of this world.

99-/7096 And among the special qualities of the Qur’an: It is narrated from the Prophet (may Allah bless him and his Family) that he said: Whoever recites this surah, Allah will take him to account with an easy reckoning, and every prophet mentioned in it will shake his hand and greet him with peace. And whoever writes it on gazelle parchment, places it at his midsection, and sleeps, he will not awaken from his slumber except that he has seen wonders that gladden his heart, by Allah, the Exalted’s permission.

99-/7097 And from al-Sadiq (peace be upon him): Whoever writes it on gazelle parchment, places it at his midsection, and sleeps, he will not awaken until the writing is removed from his midsection. This is beneficial for the sick and for one whose wakefulness has been prolonged by thought, fear, or illness; he will recover, by Allah, the Exalted’s permission.

(Qur’an 21:1-2) M. H. Shakir: Their reckoning has drawn near to men, and in heedlessness they turn aside. There comes not to them a new reminder from their Lord but they hear it while they sport,

/7098 ‘Ali ibn Ibrahim, regarding His saying, Their reckoning has drawn near to men while they are in heedlessness turning aside: The Resurrection, the Hour, and the reckoning have drawn near. Then He used a kenning for Quraysh, saying: There comes not to them any new reminder from their Lord but they listen to it while they play—meaning: out of diversion.

(Qur’an 21:3-6) M. H. Shakir: Their hearts trifling; and those who are unjust counsel together in secret: He is nothing but a mortal like yourselves; will you then yield to magic while you see? He said: My Lord knows what is spoken in the heaven and the earth, and He is the Hearing, the Knowing. Nay! they say: Medleys of dreams; nay! he has forged it; nay! he is a poet; so let him bring to us a sign as the former (prophets) were sent. There did not believe before them any town which We destroyed, will they then believe?
