Hud Ayah 23

قوله تعالى: إِنَّ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَ عَمِلُوا الصّٰالِحٰاتِ وَ أَخْبَتُوا إِلىٰ رَبِّهِمْ أُولٰئِكَ أَصْحٰابُ الْجَنَّةِ هُمْ فِيهَا خَالِدُونَ (هود 11:23)

Surely those who believe and do good and humble themselves before their Lord, these are the dwellers of the garden, in it they will abide. (Hud 11:23) [M. H. Shakir]

/5069 _1- علي بن إبراهيم قال:و قوله تعالى: إِنَّ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَ عَمِلُوا الصّٰالِحٰاتِ وَ أَخْبَتُوا إِلىٰ رَبِّهِمْ أي تواضعوا لله و عبدوه.

/5069 _1- Ali ibn Ibrāhīm said: And His saying: “Surely those who believe and do good and humble themselves before their Lord”—that is, they humbled themselves to Allah and worshiped Him.

99-/5070 _2- مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ:عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى،عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ،عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ،عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ عِيسَى،عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ الْمُخْتَارِ،عَنْ زَيْدٍ الشَّحَّامِ،عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ(عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَمُ)قَالَ: قُلْتُ لَهُ:إِنَّ عِنْدَنَا رَجُلاً يُقَالُ لَهُ:كُلَيْبٌ،فَلاَ يَجِيءُ عَنْكُمْ شَيْءٌ إِلاَّ قَالَ:أَنَا أُسَلِّمُ،فَسَمَّيْنَاهُ:كُلَيْبَ تَسْلِيمٍ؟قَالَ:فَتَرَحَّمَ عَلَيْهِ،ثُمَّ قَالَ:«أَ تَدْرُونَ مَا التَّسْلِيمُ؟»فَسَكَتْنَا،فَقَالَ:«هُوَ وَ اللَّهِ الْإِخْبَاتُ،قَوْلُ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ: اَلَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَ عَمِلُوا الصّٰالِحٰاتِ وَ أَخْبَتُوا إِلىٰ رَبِّهِمْ ».

99-/5070 _2- Muhammad ibn Ya‘qūb—from Muhammad ibn Yahyā, from Ahmad ibn Muhammad, from al-Husayn ibn Sa‘īd, from Hammād ibn ‘Īsā, from al-Husayn ibn al-Mukhtār, from Zayd al-Shahhām, from Abū ‘Abd Allāh (peace be upon him)—said: I said to him, “We have a man among us called Kulayb. Nothing comes from you except that he says, ‘I submit,’ so we have nicknamed him: ‘Kulayb al-Taslīm (Kulayb of Submission).’” He invoked mercy upon him and then said, “Do you know what submission (al-taslīm) is?” We fell silent. He said, “By Allah, it is al-ikhbāt (humble devotion), the saying of Allah, Mighty and Majestic: ‘Those who believe and do good and humble themselves before their Lord.’”

99-/5071 _3- سَعْدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ:عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى،عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ،عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ عِيسَى، عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ الْمُخْتَارِ،عَنْ أَبِي أُسَامَةَ زَيْدٍ الشَّحَّامِ،عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ(عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَمُ)قَالَ: قُلْتُ لَهُ:إِنَّ عِنْدَنَا رَجُلاً يُسَمَّى كُلَيْباً،فَلاَ يَخْرُجُ عَنْكُمْ حَدِيثٌ وَ لاَ شَيْءٌ إِلاَّ قَالَ:أَنَا أُسَلِّمُ،فَسَمَّيْنَاهُ:كُلَيْبَ تَسْلِيمٍ؟قَالَ:فَتَرَحَّمَ عَلَيْهِ،وَ قَالَ: «أَ تَدْرُونَ مَا التَّسْلِيمُ؟»فَسَكَتْنَا،فَقَالَ:«هُوَ وَ اللَّهِ الْإِخْبَاتُ،قَوْلُ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ: اَلَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَ عَمِلُوا الصّٰالِحٰاتِ وَ أَخْبَتُوا إِلىٰ رَبِّهِمْ ».

99-/5071 _3- Sa‘d ibn ‘Abd Allāh—from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn ‘Īsā, from al-Husayn ibn Sa‘īd, from Hammād ibn ‘Īsā, from al-Husayn ibn al-Mukhtār, from Abū Usāmah Zayd al-Shahhām, from Abū ‘Abd Allāh (peace be upon him)—said: I said to him, “We have a man called Kulayb. No report or anything comes from you except that he says, ‘I submit,’ so we have nicknamed him: ‘Kulayb al-Taslīm (Kulayb of Submission).’” He invoked mercy upon him and said, “Do you know what submission (al-taslīm) is?” We fell silent. He said, “By Allah, it is al-ikhbāt (humble devotion), the saying of Allah, Mighty and Majestic: ‘Those who believe and do good and humble themselves before their Lord.’”

99-/5072 _4- الْعَيَّاشِيُّ:عَنْ أَبِي أُسَامَةَ،قَالَ: قُلْتُ لِأَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ(عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَمُ):إِنَّ عِنْدَنَا رَجُلاً يُسَمَّى كُلَيْباً،لاَ يَجِيءُ عَنْكُمْ شَيْءٌ إِلاَّ قَالَ:أَنَا أُسَلِّمُ،فَسَمَّيْنَاهُ:كُلَيْبَ تَسْلِيمٍ؟قَالَ:فَتَرَحَّمَ عَلَيْهِ،ثُمَّ قَالَ:«أَ تَدْرُونَ مَا التَّسْلِيمُ؟»فَسَكَتْنَا، فَقَالَ:«هُوَ وَ اللَّهِ الْإِخْبَاتُ،قَوْلُ اللَّهِ: إِنَّ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَ عَمِلُوا الصّٰالِحٰاتِ وَ أَخْبَتُوا إِلىٰ رَبِّهِمْ ».

الْكَشِّيُّ:عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ إِسْمَاعِيلَ،عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ عِيسَى،عَنْ حُسَيْنِ بْنِ الْمُخْتَارِ،عَنْ أَبِي أُسَامَةَ،قَالَ:قُلْتُ لِأَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ(عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَمُ):إِنَّ عِنْدَنَا رَجُلاً يُسَمَّى كُلَيْباً،فَلاَ يَجِيءُ عَنْكُمْ شَيْءٌ إِلاَّ قَالَ:أَنَا أُسَلِّمُ.وَ ذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ [1].

99-/5072 _4- Al-‘Ayyāshī—from Abū Usāmah—said: I said to Abū ‘Abd Allāh (peace be upon him), “We have a man called Kulayb. Al-Kashshī—from ‘Alī ibn Ismā‘īl, from Hammād ibn ‘Īsā, from Husayn ibn al-Mukhtār, from Abū Usāmah—said: I said to Abū ‘Abd Allāh (peace be upon him), “We have a man called Kulayb. Nothing comes from you except that he says, ‘I submit.’” And he mentioned the report. [1]

قوله تعالى:

مَثَلُ الْفَرِيقَيْنِ كَالْأَعْمىٰ وَ الْأَصَمِّ وَ الْبَصِيرِ وَ السَّمِيعِ هَلْ يَسْتَوِيٰانِ مَثَلًا أَ فَلاٰ تَذَكَّرُونَ (هود 11:24)

The parable of the two parties is as the blind and the deaf and the seeing and the hearing; are they equal in condition? Will you not then mind? (Hud 11:24) [M. H. Shakir]
