Hud Ayah 13-14

وَالاَهُ،وَ عَادِ مَنْ عَادَاهُ،وَ انْصُرْ مَنْ نَصَرَهُ،وَ اخْذُلْ مَنْ خَذَلَهُ».فَقَالَ الشُّكَّاكُ وَ الْمُنَافِقُونَ وَ الَّذِينَ فِي قُلُوبِهِمْ مَرَضٌ وَ زَيْغٌ:نَبْرَأُ إِلَى اللَّهِ مِنْ مَقَالَتِهِ،لَيْسَ بِحَتْمٍ،وَ لاَ نَرْضَى أَنْ يَكُونَ عَلِيٌّ وَزِيرَهُ،هَذِهِ مِنْهُ عَصَبِيَّةٌ فَقَالَ سَلْمَانُ وَ الْمِقْدَادُ وَ أَبُو ذَرٍّ وَ عَمَّارُ بْنُ يَاسِرٍ:وَ اللَّهِ مَا بَرِحْنَا الْعَرْصَةَ حَتَّى نَزَلَتْ هَذِهِ الْآيَةُ اَلْيَوْمَ أَكْمَلْتُ لَكُمْ دِينَكُمْ وَ أَتْمَمْتُ عَلَيْكُمْ نِعْمَتِي وَ رَضِيتُ لَكُمُ الْإِسْلاٰمَ دِيناً فَكَرَّرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ(صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ آلِهِ)ذَلِكَ ثَلاَثاً،ثُمَّ قَالَ:«إِنَّ كَمَالَ الدِّينِ وَ تَمَامَ النِّعْمَةِ وَ رِضَى الرَّبِّ بِإِرْسَالِي إِلَيْكُمْ بِالْوَلاَيَةِ بَعْدِي لِعَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ(عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَمُ)».

English: “Befriend whoever befriends him, oppose whoever opposes him, help whoever helps him, and forsake whoever forsakes him.” Then the skeptics and the hypocrites and those in whose hearts is disease and deviation said: “We disavow his statement; it is not obligatory, and we do not accept that ‘Ali should be his vizier; this is partisanship from him.” So Salman, al-Miqdad, Abu Dharr, and ‘Ammar b. Yasir said: “By Allah, we had not left the plain until this verse was sent down: al-yawma akmaltu lakum dinakum wa atmamtu ‘alaykum ni‘mati wa raditu lakumu l-islama dinan.” The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and his family) repeated that three times, then said: “Indeed, the perfection of the religion, the completion of the favor, and the Lord’s approval are by my being sent to you with the guardianship after me for ‘Ali b. Abi Talib (peace be upon him).”

اَلْيَوْمَ أَكْمَلْتُ لَكُمْ دِينَكُمْ وَ أَتْمَمْتُ عَلَيْكُمْ نِعْمَتِي وَ رَضِيتُ لَكُمُ الْإِسْلَامَ دِينًا [المائدة 5:3]

This day have I perfected for you your religion and completed My favor on you and chosen for you Islam as a religion. (M. H. Shakir)

قوله تعالى:

أَمْ يَقُولُونَ افْتَرَاهُ قُلْ فَأْتُوا بِعَشْرِ سُوَرٍ مِثْلِهِ مُفْتَرَيَاتٍ وَادْعُوا مَنِ اسْتَطَعْتُمْ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ صَادِقِينَ - إِلَى قَوْلِهِ تَعَالَى - أَنَّمَا أُنْزِلَ بِعِلْمِ اللَّهِ [هود 13-14] تقدّم في الآية السابقة عن الصادق(عليه السلام) منها إلى عشر آيات، إلى قوله تعالى: هَلْ يَسْتَوِيَانِ مَثَلًا أَفَلَا تَذَكَّرُونَ فليؤخذ معناها من الحديث المذكور في الآية السابقة.

English: His saying, exalted is He: “Or do they say: He has forged it. Say: Then bring ten forged surahs like it, and call upon whom you can besides Allah, if you are truthful — up to His saying — that it is revealed by Allah’s knowledge” [Hud 11:13–14]. It has already been presented under the preceding verse from al-Sadiq (peace be upon him), from there for ten verses, up to His saying, “Are the two alike in comparison? Will you not then be mindful?” Therefore, take its meaning from the hadith mentioned under the preceding verse.

فَإِنْ لَمْ يَسْتَجِيبُوا لَكُمْ فَاعْلَمُوا أَنَّمَا أُنْزِلَ بِعِلْمِ اللَّهِ وَأَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا هُوَ فَهَلْ أَنْتُمْ مُسْلِمُونَ [هود 11:14]

But if they do not answer you, then know that it is revealed by Allah's knowledge and that there is no god but He; will you then submit? (M. H. Shakir)

و قال عليّ بن إبراهيم،في قوله تعالى: أَمْ يَقُولُونَ إلى قوله: صٰادِقِينَ :يعني قولهم:إن اللّه لم يأمره بولاية علي،و إنّما يقول من عنده فيه.

فقال اللّه عزّ و جلّ فَإِلَّمْ يَسْتَجِيبُوا لَكُمْ فَاعْلَمُوا أَنَّمٰا أُنْزِلَ بِعِلْمِ اللّٰهِ أي بولاية أمير المؤمنين(عليه السلام) من عند اللّه.

5037-/1 English: ‘Ali b. Ibrahim said, regarding His saying, “Or do they say … if you are truthful”: it means their statement, “Allah did not command him regarding the wilayah of ‘Ali; rather, he says it from himself about him.” So Allah, Mighty and Majestic, said: “But if they do not answer you, then know that it is revealed by Allah’s knowledge,” that is, that the wilayah of the Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon him) is from Allah.

علي بن إبراهيم،في قوله تعالى: مَنْ كَانَ يُرِيدُ الْحَيٰاةَ الدُّنْيٰا وَ زِينَتَهٰا نُوَفِّ إِلَيْهِمْ أَعْمٰالَهُمْ فِيهٰا وَ هُمْ فِيهٰا لاٰ يُبْخَسُونَ

5038-/2 English: ‘Ali b. Ibrahim, regarding His saying, “Whoever desires this world’s life and its adornment, We will fully repay them their deeds therein, and they shall not be made to suffer loss therein” …

قوله تعالى:

مَنْ كَانَ يُرِيدُ الْحَيَاةَ الدُّنْيَا وَزِينَتَهَا نُوَفِّ إِلَيْهِمْ أَعْمَالَهُمْ فِيهَا وَهُمْ فِيهَا لَا يُبْخَسُونَ - إِلَى قَوْلِهِ تَعَالَى - وَبَاطِلٌ مَا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ [هود 15-16]

English: His saying, exalted is He: “Whoever desires this world’s life and its adornment, We will fully repay them their deeds therein, and they shall not be made to suffer loss therein — up to His saying — and vain is what they do.”

مَنْ كَانَ يُرِيدُ الْحَيَاةَ الدُّنْيَا وَزِينَتَهَا نُوَفِّ إِلَيْهِمْ أَعْمَالَهُمْ فِيهَا وَهُمْ فِيهَا لَا يُبْخَسُونَ [هود 11:15]

Whoever desires this world's life and its adornment, We will fully repay them their deeds therein, and they shall not be made to suffer loss therein. (M. H. Shakir)

أُولَئِكَ الَّذِينَ لَيْسَ لَهُمْ فِي الْآخِرَةِ إِلَّا النَّارُ وَحَبِطَ مَا صَنَعُوا فِيهَا وَبَاطِلٌ مَا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ [هود 11:16]

These are they for whom there is nothing in the hereafter but the fire, and what they wrought in it shall go for nothing, and vain is what they do. (M. H. Shakir)
