The Manner of Imam Husain (a.s.)'s (a.s.) Arrival in the Gathering

كيفيت وارد شدن امام حسين به محشر

و در خبر است كه حسين (عليه‌السلام) خود بيايد، در حالتي كه سرش را در كف گرفته، [ صفحه 289] و چون فاطمه (عليهاالسلام) او را ببيند، نعره زند كه تمام اهل محشر به گريه درآيند [845] ، پس پيراهن حسين (عليه‌السلام) را بر سر دست گيرد، و عرض كند، خدايا، اين پيراهن فرزند من است [846] ، يعني ببين كه چگونه از ضرب شمشير، و نيزه، و تير، سوراخ سوراخ است، يا اينكه خدايا، اين پيراهن را هم بر بدنش نگذارند، و او راعاري، و بر روي زمين انداختند، پس خداوند عادل منتقم انتقام كشد از كشندگان آن جناب و اولاد ايشان و اولاد اولاد ايشان، كه راضي به فعل پدران خود بودند، به اقسام عذاب، پس چندين مرتبه ايشانرا بكشند، بعد زبانيه سياهي از جهنم بيرون آيد، و ايشان را برچيند، مانند مرغي كه دانه را برمي‌چيند، و ببرد ايشان را به سوي جهنم. [847] .و بعد از اين مقامات خصوصيتي از براي آن مكرمه است در مقام شفاعت، كه محل حاجت ما است، كه ندا مي‌رسد: اي فاطمه هر حاجت كه داري بطلب، عرض مي‌كند كه: شيعيان خود را مي‌خواهم، خطاب مي‌رسد: كه بخشيدم همه را، عرض مي‌كند: شيعيان اولادم را مي‌خواهم، خطاب مي‌رسد: كه بخشيدم ايشان را، عرض مي‌كند: شيعه‌ي شيعيان خود را مي‌خواهم خطاب مي‌رسد كه: روانه شو، پس هر كه به تو پناه برده با تو خواهد بود پس روانه شود به سوي بهشت، و همه‌ي ايشان به همراه او بروند. [848] .پس اي گروهي كه زيارت كرده‌ايد فرزند آن مكرمه را، و ياري نموده‌ايد او را در گريه، اگر پيغمبر (صلي الله عليه و آله) از اول دست تو را نگيرد، و در وقت نداي اول بر نخواستي، پس در اين شفاعت عظمي، يا شيعه، ترا شامل است، و اگر نه، شيعه‌ي شيعه خواهي بود، و اگر آن هم نيستي، پس پناه باو خواهي برد، و كدام پناه بهتر از زيارت فرزند او، و گريه بر آن جناب است، پس گمان ندارم كه از اين مقام محروم شوي، و به همراه آن مكرمه روانه نشوي، و اگر از اين حرمان هم ترساني به جهت كثرت معاصي، و مأيوس باشي از نجات در اين حالت، و احتمال بدهي كه لابد تو را به جهنم خواهند برد، [ صفحه 290] پس باز مأيوس مباش اي زائر، كه لابد آن حضرت خواهد آمد و تو را از آتش نجات خواهد داد، چنانكه در خبري فرموده است كه: هر كس مرا زيارت كند البته او را زيارت خواهم كرد بعد از موت و اگر او را در آتش بيابم از آن بيرونش مي‌آورم [849] ، و اين آخر درجات اخلاص است از براي ادني زوار، كه گناه ايشان بسيار عظيم است.

And it is narrated that Imam Husain (a.s.) himself will come while carrying his head in his hand.

When Fatimah (a.s.) sees him, she will cry out in lamentation, and all the people of the Gathering will begin to weep. [845]

Then she will raise the shirt of Imam Husain (a.s.) in her hands and say:

“O Allah! This is the shirt of my son.” [846]

Meaning: See how it has been torn and pierced by the blows of swords, spears, and arrows.

Or meaning: O Allah! They did not even leave this shirt upon his body, but cast him unclothed upon the ground.

Then Allah, the Just Avenger, will take vengeance upon the killers of that noble one, upon their children, and upon the descendants of their children who were pleased with the deeds of their forefathers, through various forms of punishment.

They will be killed repeatedly many times.

Thereafter, a black Zabāniyah (guardian of Hell) will emerge from Hell and gather them up as a bird gathers grain, and will carry them away toward Hell. [847]

After these stages, there is a special distinction for that noble lady (a.s.) in the station of intercession, which is the point of our need.

A call will come:

“O Fatimah! Ask for whatever you desire.”

She will say:

“I desire my Shias.”

It will be said:

“I have granted all of them.”

She will say:

“I desire the Shias of my children.”

It will be said:

“I have granted them.”

She will say:

“I desire the Shias of my Shias.”

It will be said:

“Proceed. Whoever has sought refuge with you shall be with you.”

Then she will proceed toward Paradise, and all of them will accompany her. [848]

Therefore, O people who have visited the son of that noble lady and have aided him through weeping for him, if the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w.a.) does not take you by the hand at the beginning, and if you do not rise at the time of the first call, then this supreme intercession will include you as a Shia.

And if not, then you will be among the Shias of the Shias.

And if you are not even among them, then you will have sought refuge with her.

And what refuge could be better than visiting her son and weeping over that noble one?

Therefore, I do not think that you will be deprived of this station, nor that you will fail to accompany that noble lady.

And if you still fear deprivation because of the abundance of your sins, and despair of salvation at this stage, and suppose that you will inevitably be taken to Hell,

then still do not despair, O visitor, for that noble one will surely come and rescue you from the Fire.

As it has been narrated:

«هر كس مرا زيارت كند البته او را زيارت خواهم كرد بعد از موت و اگر او را در آتش بيابم از آن بيرونش مي‌آورم»

“Whoever visits me, I shall certainly visit him after his death; and if I find him in the Fire, I shall bring him out of it.” [849]

And this is the final degree of salvation for the lowest rank of visitors whose sins are exceedingly great.
