Surat Ar-Rum (The Romans) – Its Virtue

تقدم في سورة العنكبوت [1].

It has been previously mentioned in Surat Al-‘Ankabut [1].

/8312 _1-وَ مِنْ(خَوَاصِّ الْقُرْآنِ): رُوِيَ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ(صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ آلِهِ)،أَنَّهُ قَالَ: «مَنْ قَرَأَ هَذِهِ السُّورَةَ كَانَ لَهُ مِنَ الْأَجْرِ عَشْرُ حَسَنَاتٍ بِعَدَدِ كُلِّ مَلَكٍ يُسَبِّحُ اللَّهَ تَعَالَى فِي السَّمَاءِ وَ الْأَرْضِ،وَ أَدْرَكَ مَا ضَيَّعَ فِي يَوْمِهِ وَ لَيْلَتِهِ،وَ مَنْ كَتَبَهَا وَ جَعَلَهَا فِي مَنْزِلِ مَنْ أَرَادَ،اعْتَلَّ جَمِيعُ مَنْ فِي الدَّارِ،وَ لَوْ دَخَلَ فِي الدَّارِ غَرِيبٌ اعْتَلَّ أَيْضاً مَعَ أَهْلِ الدَّارِ».

/8312 _1- And from the special properties of the Qur’an: It is narrated from the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his family) that he said: "Whoever recites this Surah will have for him the reward of ten good deeds for every angel who glorifies Allah, the Exalted, in the heavens and the earth, and he will regain what he lost during his day and night. And whoever writes it and places it in the house of anyone he desires, all the people in that house will fall ill, and if a stranger enters the house, he too will fall ill along with the people of the house."

/8313 _2-وقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ(صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ آلِهِ): «مَنْ كَتَبَهَا وَ جَعَلَهَا فِي مَنْزِلِ مَنْ أَرَادَ مِنَ النَّاسِ،اعْتَلَّ جَمِيعُ مَنْ فِي ذَلِكَ الْمَنْزِلِ،وَ مَنْ كَتَبَهَا فِي قِرْطَاسٍ،وَ مَحَاهَا بِمَاءِ الْمَطَرِ،وَ جَعَلَهَا فِي ظَرْفٍ مُطَيَّنٍ،كُلُّ مَنْ شَرِبَ مِنْ ذَلِكَ الْمَاءِ يَصِيرُ مَرِيضاً،وَ كُلُّ مَنْ غَسَلَ وَجْهَهُ مِنْ ذَلِكَ الْمَاءِ يَظْهَرُ فِي عَيْنِهِ رَمَدٌ،كَادَ أَنْ يَصِيرَ أَعْمَى» [2].

/8313 _2- And the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his family) said: "Whoever writes it and places it in the house of anyone he desires from among the people, all those in that house will fall ill. And whoever writes it on a piece of paper, then washes it off with rainwater and places it in a sealed container, everyone who drinks from that water will become sick, and whoever washes his face with that water, an eye disease will appear in his eye, almost causing him to go blind."
