عهد الست

حجة الاسلام نيرتيري كه بر دل شه گلگون قبا رسيد اندر نجف به مرقد شير خدا رسيدچون در نجف ز سينه‌ي شير خدا گذشت اندر مدينه به جگر مصطفي رسيدزان پس كه پرده‌ي جگر مصطفي دريد داند خدا كه چون شد از آن پس كجا رسيدهرناوك بلا كه فلك در كمان نهاد پر بست و بر هدف همه در كربلا رسيديكباره از فلاخن آن دست كينه خاست آن سنگهاي طعنه كه بر انبيا رسيدبا خيل عاشقان چون در آن دشت پا نهاد قرباني خليل به كوه منا رسيدآراست گلشني ز جوانان گل عذار آبش نداده باد خزان از قفا رسيداز تشنگي ز پا چو درآمد به سر دويد چون بر وفاي عهد الستش ندا رسيداز پشت زين قدم چون به روي زمين نهاد افتاد و سر به سجده‌ي جان‌آفرين نهاد [ صفحه 459]

The Covenant of Alast (A'had Alast)

Ḥujjat al-Islām Nayyirī

“The arrow that struck the heart of the blood-clad king, Reached in Najaf the resting place of the Lion of Allah.”

“When it passed through the breast of the Lion of Allah in Najaf, In Madīnah it reached the liver of al-Muṣṭafā (s.a.w.a.).”

“After it tore through the veil of the liver of al-Muṣṭafā (s.a.w.a.), Allah alone knows where it reached thereafter.”

“Every arrow of affliction that the heavens placed in their bow, Took flight and struck its target in Karbalāʾ.”

“All at once, from the sling of that hand of hatred arose Those stones of reproach that had been hurled at the prophets.”

“When he entered that plain with the host of lovers, The sacrifice of the Friend of Allah (a.s.) reached Mount Minā.”

“He adorned a garden with rosy-cheeked youths, Before it could be watered, the autumn wind struck it from behind.”

“When thirst brought him down from his feet, he hastened onward with his head, For the call came to him to fulfil the Covenant of Alast (A'had Alast).”

“When he set foot from the back of the saddle onto the face of the earth, He fell and placed his head in prostration before the Creator of souls.”
