قوله تعالى:
يَسْئَلُهُ مَنْ فِي السَّمٰاوٰاتِ وَ الْأَرْضِ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ هُوَ فِي شَأْن [29]
Whoever is in the heavens and the earth begs of Him; every moment He is in a state (of glory).

99-/10323 ʿAlī ibn Ibrāhīm: Regarding the verse “He is asked by whoever is in the heavens and the earth; every day He is in a state (of glory)” — he said: He gives life and causes death, provides sustenance, increases and decreases.

99-/10324 Shaykh in his Majālis said: A group of people informed us from Abū al-Mufaḍḍal, who said: al-Faḍl ibn Muḥammad ibn al-Musayyab Abū Muḥammad al-Shaʿrānī al-Bayhaqī in Jurjān narrated to us, who said: Hārūn ibn ʿAmr ibn ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz ibn Muḥammad Abū Mūsā al-Mujāshiʿī narrated to me, who said: Muḥammad ibn Jaʿfar ibn Muḥammad (peace be upon them both) narrated to us, who said: My father Abū ʿAbdillāh (peace be upon him) narrated to us.
Al-Mujāshiʿī said: And al-Riḍā ʿAlī ibn Mūsā (peace be upon him) also narrated to us from his father Mūsā, from his father Abū ʿAbdillāh Jaʿfar ibn Muḥammad, from his forefathers, from ʿAlī (peace be upon them), who said:
“Indeed the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) said: Allah, the Exalted, said: ‘Every day He is in a state (of glory)’ — and among His affairs is that He forgives a sin, relieves a distress, raises a people and brings down others.”
