In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Alif Lam Ra. These are the verses of the Book and (of) a Quran that makes (things) manifest. Often will those who disbelieve wish that they had been Muslims. Leave them to eat and enjoy and let (false) hope divert them; for they will soon know. (Quran 15:1-3, M. H. Shakir)

H. Shakir), said: This will be when I and my Shi‘a go forth, and ‘Uthman and his followers go forth, and we slay the sons of Umayya; it is then that those who disbelieved will wish that they had been Muslims.”

99-/5810 _3- Translation:
And from him, he said: Al-Hasan ibn ‘Ali ibn al-Nu‘man narrated to us, from his father, from ‘Abdullah ibn Muskan, from Kamil al-Tammar, who said: Abu ‘Abdillah (peace be upon him), regarding Allah’s saying, ‘Often will those who disbelieve wish that they had been Muslims’ (Quran 15:2, M. H. Shakir), read it as musallimīn—with the sin fathah (open) and the lam doubled—thus he recited it.
Imam al-‘Askari (peace be upon him) said: “Allah, Mighty and Majestic, said: ‘And guard (yourselves) against a day when one soul shall not avail another in the least’ [1]—that is, it shall not ward off from it a punishment it has deserved at the time of the taking of the soul—‘nor shall intercession be accepted from it’ [2]—that is, no intercession will be accepted for it to delay death from it—‘nor shall any compensation be taken from it’ [3]—that is, no ransom in its stead will be accepted; he will die and be left—he is the ransom. [4]
Al-Sadiq (peace be upon him) said: This day is the day of death; intercession and ransom do not avail for it. But as for the Resurrection, we and our Household will recompense on behalf of our Shi‘a in every way. Verily, upon the Heights—between Paradise and the Fire—will be Muhammad, ‘Ali, Fatimah, al-Hasan, and al-Husayn (peace be upon them), and the pure ones from their progeny. We shall see some of our Shi‘a in those courtyards, among those who fell short, in some of its hardships; then we will dispatch to them the choicest of our Shi‘a—such as Salman, al-Miqdad, Abu Dharr, ‘Ammar, and their likes in the era after them, and so in every era until the Day of Resurrection. They will swoop down upon them like hawks and falcons, seizing them as hawks and falcons seize their prey, then escorting them swiftly to Paradise. And we shall send to others among our lovers, from the best of our Shi‘a, as if doves, who will pick them up from the courtyards as birds pick up grain, and they will convey them to the gardens in our presence. And one of our Shi‘a who fell short in his deeds—though he had acquired loyalty (wilaya), taqiyya, and the rights of his brethren—will be brought, and set opposite him will be from one hundred and more than that up to one hundred thousand of the nawsib (haters of the Ahl al-Bayt). It will be said to him: These are your ransom from the Fire. Thus these believers will enter Paradise, and those nawsib the Fire. And that is the meaning of Allah’s saying: ‘Often will those who disbelieve wish that they had been Muslims’—i.e., in regard to loyalty (wilaya)—‘that they had been Muslims in the world, yielding to the Imamate, so that their opponents would be made their ransom from the Fire.’ (Quran 15:2, M. H. Shakir)” And this passage refers also to Quran 2:48: “And guard yourselves against a day when one soul shall not avail another, nor shall intercession be accepted from it, nor shall compensation be taken from it, nor shall they be helped.” (M. H. Shakir)
99-/5812 _5- Translation:
Al-‘Ayyashi: From ‘Abdullah ibn ‘Ataa’ al-Makki, who said: I asked Abu Ja‘far (peace be upon him) about Allah’s saying, ‘Often will those who disbelieve wish that they had been Muslims’ (Quran 15:2, M. H. Shakir).
He said: “A caller will call out on the Day of Resurrection, audible to all creatures: None shall enter Paradise except a Muslim. Then the rest of the creation will wish they had been Muslims.”
99-/5813 _6- Translation:
And with this chain, from Abu ‘Abdillah (peace be upon him): “Thereupon the creatures will wish that they had been Muslims.” (alluding to Quran 15:2, M. H. Shakir)
And We did not destroy any town but it had a term made known. No people can hasten on their doom nor can they postpone (it). And they say: O you to whom the Reminder has been revealed! you are most surely insane. Why do you not bring to us the angels if you are of the truthful ones? We do not send the angels but with truth, and then they would not be respited. (Quran 15:4-8, M. H. Shakir)
