78. Warning to Rūḍah Reciters (Mourning Orators)
1. One of the well-known preachers of Khūy, named Ḥājj Shaykh ʿAbbās Āzarm (passed away on 25/12/1378 Shamsī), narrated:
One of the respected Sayyids of Marāghah saw in a dream after the death of a rūḍah reciter that he was in intense suffering and distress.
When he asked the reason for the punishment and pain, the rūḍah reciter replied:
“It is because I narrated weak and fabricated reports and ḥadīths that were not befitting the station of Imām Ḥusain (a.s.).”
This dream had such an emotional impact on that Sayyid that he fell ill, and his illness lasted for several years.

2. Another account:
A person came to the presence of Āyatullāh Ḥājj Mīrzā Muḥammad ʿAlī Kirmānshāhī, the son of Waḥīd Bihbahānī, the famous author of Maqāmāt al-Faḍl, and a scholar of many valuable works (1144–1216 AH).
That person said:
“I saw in a dream that the blessed body of Imām Ḥusain (ʿa) was being torn apart limb by limb.”
The noble scholar asked: “Are you a rūḍah reciter?”
He replied: “Yes.”
The scholar then said:
“This is the result of false and fabricated mourning narratives.
You must either stop reciting rūḍah altogether, or ensure you narrate only authentic and verified reports.”

Lesson: These accounts serve as a serious warning to all preachers and reciters of the tragedy of Karbalāʾ:
It is a sacred responsibility. Only accurate, reliable, and dignified accounts should be shared — not exaggerations or weak narrations that might disrespect the noble position of Imām Ḥusain (ʿa).
