S 54 Ayat 9

قوله تعالى:

كَذَّبَتْ قَبْلَهُمْ قَوْمُ نُوحٍ فَكَذَّبُوا عَبْدَنٰا وَ قٰالُوا مَجْنُونٌ وَ ازْدُجِرَ [9]

"The people of Noah before them denied; so they rejected Our servant and called [him] mad, and he was driven away."

 /10270 _1-علي بن إبراهيم:ثم حكى اللّه عزّ و جلّ هلاك الأمم الماضية،فقال: كَذَّبَتْ قَبْلَهُمْ قَوْمُ نُوحٍ فَكَذَّبُوا عَبْدَنٰا وَ قٰالُوا مَجْنُونٌ وَ ازْدُجِرَ أي آذوه و أرادوا رجمه.

99-/10270 ‘Ali ibn Ibrahim: Then Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, described the destruction of previous nations, saying: "The people of Noah before them denied; so they rejected Our servant and called [him] mad, and he was driven away" — meaning, they harmed him and intended to stone him.
