مهيا شدن از براي قتلش

استغاثه‌ي ششم: آن وقتي كه مهيا شدند از براي قتلش، و اين استغاثه اثر نمود در خواهرش زينب، و او را از خيمه بيرون آورد، و به سوي قتلگاه سر و پاي برهنه روان گرديد، و از ابن‌سعد طلب ياري مي‌نمود، و مي‌فرمود: اي پسر سعد آيا سزاوار است كه ابوعبدالله شهيد شود، و تو به سوي او نظر كني؟ و ابن‌سعد از اين حالت به گريه درآمد به نحوي كه اشكش جاري شد، و روي خود را برگردانيد. [956] .

When They Prepared to Kill Him

The Sixth Appeal:

This occurred when they prepared themselves to kill him.

This appeal had such an effect upon his sister Zaynab (a.s.) that it brought her out from the tent.

Bareheaded and barefoot, she hurried toward the place of martyrdom.

She sought help from Ibn Saʿd and said:

“O son of Saʿd! Is it proper that Aba Abdillah (a.s.) should be martyred while you merely look on?”

Ibn Saʿd was moved to tears by this scene.

His tears flowed down his face, and he turned his face away. [956]
