The departure of that noble one (a.s.) from Madinah

The departure of that noble one (a.s.) from Madinah,

The Second Verse: Concerning the departure of that noble one (a.s.) from Madinah, and it is this verse:

“Permission has been granted to those who are fought against because they have been wronged, and indeed Allah is fully able to grant them victory; those who have been driven from their homes without right, for no reason except that they said: ‘Our Lord is Allah.’”

(Surah al-Hajj 22:39–40) [1049]

As has been narrated in a report from Imam al-Sadiq (a.s.) that this verse was revealed concerning Ali (a.s.), Ja'far (a.s.), and Hamzah, and it was also applied to Imam Husain (a.s.) ibn Ali (a.s.). [1050]

That is, Ali (a.s.), Ja'far (a.s.), and Hamzah were expelled from their homeland and were killed without any crime and without any right that would justify their killing. Rather, it was solely because they affirmed the Divine Unity of Allah.

And this condition was manifested in Imam Husain (a.s.) in a special manner, for he was expelled from his homeland—indeed, from all lands. There was no place in which he was safe.

So much so that he said:

“If I were to enter the burrow of a wild creature, they would bring me out and kill me.” [1051]

Then they killed him with a unique killing, and they committed a unique ظلم (oppression) against him, and they committed a unique oppression against his children, his young ones, and his family.

And regarding him, the Divine promise of victory and support shall become manifest through the hand of the Awaited Proof, Imam al-Mahdi (a.t.f.s.),
