S 55 Ayat 17

قوله تعالى:

رَبُّ الْمَشْرِقَيْنِ وَ رَبُّ الْمَغْرِبَيْنِ[17]

"The Lord of the two Easts and the Lord of the two Wests."

 /10305 _3-علي بن إبراهيم،قال:مشرق الشتاء،و مشرق الصيف،[و مغرب الشتاء،و مغرب الصيف].

99-/10305 ʿAlī ibn Ibrāhīm said: "The (two) Easts are the East of winter and the East of summer, and [the two] Wests are the West of winter and the West of summer."

99-/10306 _1- ثُمَّ قَالَ:وَ فِي رِوَايَةِ سَيْفِ بْنِ عَمِيرَةَ،عَنْ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ عَمَّارٍ،عَنْ أَبِي بَصِيرٍ،قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ(عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَمُ)عَنْ قَوْلِ اللَّهِ: رَبُّ الْمَشْرِقَيْنِ وَ رَبُّ الْمَغْرِبَيْنِ قَالَ:«الْمَشْرِقَيْنِ:رَسُولُ اللَّهِ(صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ آلِهِ)،وَ أَمِيرُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ(عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَمُ)،وَ الْمَغْرِبَيْنِ:اَلْحَسَنُ وَ الْحُسَيْنُ(عَلَيْهِمَا السَّلاَمُ)،[وَ فِي]أَمْثَالِهِمَا تَجْرِي» فَبِأَيِّ آلاٰءِ رَبِّكُمٰا تُكَذِّبٰانِ ،قَالَ:«بِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ وَ أَمِيرِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ(عَلَيْهِمَا السَّلاَمُ)».

Then he said: And in the narration of Sayf ibn ʿUmayrah, from Isḥāq ibn ʿAmmār, from Abū Baṣīr, he said:

I asked Abū ʿAbdillāh (peace be upon him) about the saying of Allah: "The Lord of the two Easts and the Lord of the two Wests" [55:17].

He said: “The two Easts are the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his family) and the Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon him), and the two Wests are al-Ḥasan and al-Ḥusayn (peace be upon them). And similar ones to them [in their rank and role] the verse applies.”

So, "Which of the favors of your Lord will you both deny?" – He said: “By the Messenger of Allah and the Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon them both).”
