Translator's Preface

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ

All praise belongs to Allah, the Lord of the worlds — the Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate — who gave us the honor to serve His most beloved ones. Blessings and peace be upon our master Hazrat Mohammad (s.a.w.a.), the Seal of the Prophets  and upon Ameerul Momineen ʿAlī ibn Abu Ṭālib (a.s.), the gate of knowledge and upon his (s.a.w.a.)’s  purified progeny

With deep humility and sincere gratitude, we thank Allah for granting us the opportunity to translate this work. We dedicate this book with utmost love and reverence to the flagbearer of Karbala, the loyal brother of Imam Husain (a.s.), the son of Imam Ali (a.s.), the moon of the Hashemites — Hazrat Abul-Fazl Al Abbās (a.s.).

This humble work, titled "A Sip from the Generosity of Imam Husain (a.s.)", aims to increase the love, respect, and confidence in Imam Husain (a.s.) among its readers. It is our prayer and hope that the heart of the reader becomes connected to Imam Husain (a.s.) in every aspect of life, seeking his help, inspiration, and intercession, especially in moments of grief, need, and reflection.

May this work serve as a solace to the broken heart of Janabe  Fatima al-Zahra (s.a.) and a token of our mourning, devotion, and longing to serve her beloved son.

In this era of artificial intelligence, we are now blessed with tools that make knowledge more accessible than ever. The website www.TwelverBooks.com was created with the purpose of making classical Arabic and Persian texts available quickly in the English language, especially for those who may not have access to traditional study resources. The aim is not to present scholarly, polished, or academic translations — rather, it is to make the core of these precious books accessible in English at speed.

This translation is a result of such an effort. Readers are encouraged to skim the translated content, and when they find references or narrations of value, they are highly encouraged to refer to the original Arabic or Persian texts for confirmation and deeper reflection.

This translation is generated by ChatGPT and may require verification for accuracy. The original Persian text is included to ensure precision.

We have taken this book from the website of GHBook, we are thankful to them. They have a collection of more than 16,000 volumes of books free for download.

We conclude this preface with the humble prayer for the reappearance of our Master, the Imam of our Time, Imam Mahdi  (a.t.f.s). May we be blessed with his presence soon and we listen to the tragedy of Karbala through his blessed self.  May we be counted among his companions and may Imam Husain (a.s.) intercede for us on the Day of Judgement in spite of the small scale of this contribution
