One year after the birth and mourning of that master

يك سال بعد از ولادت و تعزيت بر آن حضرت

چون يكسال از ولادت گذشت، شروع نمودند ملائكه به نزول بر آن حضرت به جهت تعزيه، پس اول امر دوازده ملك نازل شدند بر صور مختلفه كه يكي از ايشان بر صورت بني‌آدم بود، و بالهاي خود را پهن نموده تهزيه گفتند او را، پس ملك قطر آمد و تعزيه گفت، و بعد به تدريج آمدند تا اينكه نماند ملكي مگر اينكه نازل شد و تعزيت گفت او را به حسين (عليه‌السلام) تا اينكه به ثواب تعزيت فائز شوند. [629] .و باز ملائكه حمل مي‌نمودند از تربت آن زمين به جهت پيغمبر (صلي الله عليه و آله)، و اول كسي كه آورد از آن تربت به جهت آن حضرت جبرئيل بود، حضرت اميرالمؤمنين [ صفحه 226] (عليه‌السلام) فرمود داخل شدم بر پيغمبر خدا (صلي الله عليه و آله) درحالتي كه اشك از چشمان او جاري بود پس عرض كردم: پدر و مادرم فداي تو باد يا رسول‌الله چه مي‌شود تو را كه اشكت جاري است، آيا كسي ترا به غضب آورده؟ فرمودند: نه، و لكن جبرئيل مرا خبر داد كه فرزندم حسين (عليه‌السلام) را مي‌كشند، و از تربت مدفنش به جهت من آورده چون بوئيدم اشكم بي‌اختيار ريخت و اسم آن زمين كربلا است.

One year after the birth and mourning of that master

When one year had passed from the birth of Imam Husain (a.s.), the angels began descending to the Prophet (s.a.w.a.) to offer condolences.

The first to come were twelve angels who appeared in different forms. One of them appeared in the form of a human being and spread out his wings. They offered condolences to the Prophet (s.a.w.a.).

Then the Angel of Rain (Malak al-Qaṭr) came and offered condolences.

After that, the angels continued to come gradually until no angel remained except that he descended and offered condolences to the Prophet (s.a.w.a.) concerning Imam Husain (a.s.), so that they might attain the reward of offering condolences. [629]

The angels also used to bring soil from that land to the Prophet (s.a.w.a.).

The first to bring some of that soil was Jibrāʾīl (a.s.).

Amīr al-Muʾminīn ʿAlī (a.s.) said:

“I entered upon the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w.a.) and saw tears flowing from his eyes.

I said:

‘May my father and mother be sacrificed for you, O Messenger of Allah! What has happened that tears are flowing from your eyes? Has someone made you angry?’

He replied:

‘No. But Jibrāʾīl has informed me that my son Imam Husain (a.s.) will be killed, and he brought me some of the soil from the place of his burial. When I smelled it, my tears flowed uncontrollably. The name of that land is Karbalāʾ.’”
