Memory of Karbala
The month of Muharram has arrived, and your mourning has become renewed; The memory of your Karbala has been revived.
The universe and all existence have once again been clothed in black from grief; Both the earth and the heavens have become entirely a house of mourning for you.
The people of the earthly world strike their heads and chests in grief; The inhabitants of the celestial realm have established your mourning upon the Throne.
Hearts have become bloodied in remembrance of your thirst; The eyes of men and women alike weep for you.
The gazelle weeps in the desert and the fish within the water, Remembering the burning sorrow of your thirst.
Jinn and mankind have become mourners in your grief; The world is filled with lamentation from the passion and melody of your remembrance.
The enemy killed you as a stranger and never imagined That all the people of the world would become familiar with your name.
You sacrificed yourself to save humanity from oppression; O soul of all that exists besides Allah, may everything be sacrificed for you.
I marvel at the purity of heart that you possessed; O you before whose purity all people of purity stand astonished.
Though no strength remained within your body, Your voice still arose despite the wounds inflicted by arrows.
Amid daggers, arrows, spears, and stones, Supplication never ceased from your lips for even a moment.

“O Lord, I am content with every affliction that You have decreed; I am completely submissive to Your command and satisfied with Your decree.”
“On the Day of Alast, humanity was called,” And I answered, “Yes,” when Your call was proclaimed.
I remain bound to my covenant and yearn for nearness to You; I desire nothing from Your generosity except Your pleasure.
Here is the place of slaughter, here am I, and here are these countless wounds; And here are the cries of Zaynab (a.s.), familiar with sorrow because of you.
If you grant the promise of intercession to this broken-hearted one, His heart will find comfort through your kindness and generosity.
“Fata” hopes for your intercession on the Day of Resurrection, O King of Karbala and Bala, because of your generosity.
What am I but the dust of the path of the travelers of love? Who am I but a beggar at the gate of your court?
Having lost hope in physicians and remedies, He stretches out the hand of hope toward the door of your House of Healing.
Do not drive me away from your door; accept me through your benevolence, So that your beggar may be raised to the heights of the Throne.
