99-/7318 _29- And it is narrated from him (peace be upon him), that he looked at the people circumambulating the House and said: “A circumambulation like the circumambulation of the Age of Ignorance! By God, this is not what they were commanded. Rather, they were commanded to circumambulate these stones, then return to us, inform us of their love, and present to us their support.” Then he recited this verse: Thumma l-yaqdhu tafathahum wa l-yufu nuzurahum (Qur’an 22:29), and said: “Tafath is dishevelment, and the vow is meeting the Imam (peace be upon him).”

99-/7330 _1- ‘Ali ibn Ibrahim said: It is to honor the sacrificial camels and their excellence.

99-/7331 _2- Muhammad ibn Ya‘qub: from several of our companions, from Ahmad ibn Muhammad, from al-Hasan ibn ‘Ali, from some of his men, from Abu ‘Abdillah (peace be upon him), who said: “The reward is multiplied for what is less than the badanah (sacrificial camel) [1]. When it reaches the badanah, it is not multiplied, because it is the greatest that can be. Allah, Mighty and Majestic, said: And whoever respects the symbols of Allah—this surely is (the outcome) of the piety of hearts (Qur’an 22:32).”

Qur’an 22:33 — M. H. Shakir: You have advantages in them till a fixed time, then their place of sacrifice is the Ancient House.

99-/7332 _3- Muhammad ibn Ya‘qub: from Muhammad ibn Yahya, from Ahmad ibn Muhammad, from Muhammad ibn Isma‘il, from Muhammad ibn al-Fudayl, from Abu al-Sabbah al-Kinani, from Abu ‘Abdillah (peace be upon him), regarding the saying of Allah, Mighty and Majestic: You have advantages in them till a fixed time (Qur’an 22:33). He said: “If he needs their backs, he may ride them without being harsh to them; and if they have milk, he may milk them a milking that does not exhaust them.”

99-/7333 _4- Ibn Babawayh, in al-Faqih: with his chain from Abu Basir, from him (peace be upon him), regarding the saying of Allah, Mighty and Majestic: You have advantages in them till a fixed time (Qur’an 22:33). He said: “If he needs their backs, he may ride them without being harsh to them; and if they have milk, he may milk them a milking that does not exhaust them.”

/7334 _5- ‘Ali ibn Ibrahim said: The sacrificial camels may be ridden by the muhrim from the place [2] where he enters the state of ihram, without harming or being harsh with them; and if they have milk, he may drink from their milk up to the Day of Sacrifice. And this is His saying, Most High: Then their place of sacrifice is the Ancient House (Qur’an 22:33).
