Supplement to Surat Al-Jathiya

المستدرك (سورة الجاثية)

قوله تعالى:

فَبِأَيِّ حَدِيثٍ بَعْدَ اللّٰهِ وَ آيٰاتِهِ يُؤْمِنُونَ [6]

45:6 "In what announcement will they then believe after Allah and His communications?" (M. H. Shakir)

99- _1- الطَّبْرِسِيُّ فِي(الْإِحْتِجَاجِ):عَنْ صَفْوَانَ بْنِ يَحْيَى،قَالَ: سَأَلَنِي أَبُو قُرَّةَ الْمُحَدِّثُ صَاحِبُ شُبْرُمَةَ أَنْ أُدْخِلَهُ عَلَى أَبِي الْحَسَنِ الرِّضَا(عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَمُ)-إِلَى أَنْ قَالَ-وَ سَأَلَهُ عَنْ قَوْلِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ: سُبْحٰانَ الَّذِي أَسْرىٰ بِعَبْدِهِ لَيْلاً مِنَ الْمَسْجِدِ الْحَرٰامِ إِلَى الْمَسْجِدِ الْأَقْصَى .

فَقَالَ أَبُو الْحَسَنِ(عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَمُ):قَدْ أَخْبَرَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى أَنَّهُ أَسْرَى بِهِ،ثُمَّ أَخْبَرَ أَنَّهُ لِمَ أَسْرَى بِهِ،فَقَالَ: لِنُرِيَهُ مِنْ آيٰاتِنٰا [1]،فَآيَاتُ اللَّهِ غَيْرُ اللَّهِ،فَقَدْ أَعْذَرَ وَ بَيَّنَ لِمَ فَعَلَ بِهِ ذَلِكَ،وَ مَا رَآهُ وَ قَالَ: فَبِأَيِّ حَدِيثٍ بَعْدَ اللّٰهِ وَ آيٰاتِهِ يُؤْمِنُونَ ،فَأَخْبَرَ أَنَّهُ غَيْرُ اللَّهِ.

99-_1- Al-Tabrisi in (Al-Ihtijaj), narrating from Safwan ibn Yahya, said:

Abu Qurrah, the hadith scholar and companion of Shabrumah, asked me to introduce him to Abu al-Hasan al-Ridha (peace be upon him).

(After mentioning part of their conversation,) he asked him about the saying of Allah, the Mighty and Majestic:

"Glory be to Him Who made His servant to go on a night from the Sacred Mosque to the Remote Mosque" (17:1).

Abu al-Hasan (peace be upon him) said: "Allah, the Exalted, has informed that He caused him to travel, and then He explained why He caused him to travel, saying: 'That We may show him of Our signs' (17:1).

So, the signs of Allah are other than Allah Himself. Thus, He has provided the excuse and clarified why He did that to him and what he saw.

And He said: 'In what announcement will they then believe after Allah and His communications?' (45:6).

Thus, He has made it clear that it refers to something other than Allah."
