Surah Ad-Dukhan

Its Virtue

99-/9687 _1- ابْنُ بَابَوَيْهِ: بِإِسْنَادِهِ،قَالَ: قَالَ أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ(عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَمُ): «مَنْ قَرَأَ سُورَةَ الدُّخَانِ فِي فَرَائِضِهِ وَ نَوَافِلِهِ،بَعَثَهُ اللَّهُ مِنَ [1]الْآمِنِينَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ تَحْتَ عَرْشِهِ،وَ حَاسَبَهُ حِسَاباً يَسِيراً،وَ أَعْطَاهُ كِتَابَهُ بِيَمِينِهِ».

Ibn Bābawayh narrated through his chain of transmission that Abu Ja‘far (peace be upon him) said: "Whoever recites Surah Ad-Dukhan in his obligatory and supererogatory prayers, Allah will raise him on the Day of Judgment among those who are secure under His Throne. He will be given an easy reckoning, and he will be handed his book (of deeds) in his right hand."

99-/9688 _2- وَ مِنْ(خَوَاصِّ الْقُرْآنِ): رُوِيَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ(صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ آلِهِ)أَنَّهُ قَالَ: «مَنْ قَرَأَ هَذِهِ السُّورَةَ كَانَ لَهُ مِنَ الْأَجْرِ بِعَدَدِ كُلِّ حَرْفٍ مِنْهَا مِائَةُ أَلْفِ رَقَبَةٍ عَتِيقٍ،وَ مَنْ قَرَأَهَا لَيْلَةَ الْجُمُعَةِ غَفَرَ اللَّهُ لَهُ جَمِيعَ ذُنُوبِهِ؛وَ مَنْ كَتَبَهَا وَ عَلَّقَهَا عَلَيْهِ أَمِنَ مِنَ كَيْدِ الشَّيَاطِينِ؛وَ مَنْ جَعَلَهَا تَحْتَ رَأْسِهِ رَأَى فِي مَنَامِهِ كُلَّ خَيْرٍ،وَ أَمِنَ مِنْ قَلَقِهِ فِي اللَّيْلِ؛وَ إِذَا شَرِبَ مَاءَهَا صَاحِبُ الشَّقِيقَةِ بَرَأَ وَ إِذَا كُتِبَتْ وَ جُعِلَتْ فِي مَوْضِعٍ فِيهِ تِجَارَةٌ رَبِحَ صَاحِبُ الْمَوْضِعِ،وَ كَثُرَ مَالُهُ سَرِيعاً».

And from (the special qualities of the Qur'an): It has been narrated from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) that he said: "Whoever recites this Surah will receive a reward equivalent to the emancipation of one hundred thousand slaves for every letter of it. Whoever recites it on the night of Friday, Allah will forgive all his sins. Whoever writes it and keeps it with him will be protected from the deception of devils. Whoever places it under his pillow will see only good dreams and will be safe from restlessness at night. If someone suffering from migraine drinks its water, he will be cured. If it is written and placed in a place of trade, the owner of the place will profit, and his wealth will increase quickly."

99-/9689 _3- وَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ(صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ آلِهِ): «مَنْ قَرَأَهَا لَيْلَةَ الْجُمُعَةِ غَفَرَ اللَّهُ لَهُ ذُنُوبَهُ السَّابِقَةَ؛وَ مَنْ كَتَبَهَا وَ عَلَّقَهَا عَلَيْهِ أَمِنَ مِنَ كَيْدِ الشَّيَاطِينِ؛وَ مَنْ تَرَكَهَا تَحْتَ رَأْسِهِ رَأَى فِي مَنَامِهِ كُلَّ خَيْرٍ،وَ أَمِنَ مِنَ الْقَلَقِ،وَ إِنْ شَرِبَ مَاءَهَا صَاحِبُ الشَّقِيقَةِ بَرَأَ مِنْ سَاعَتِهِ؛وَ إِذَا كُتِبَتْ وَ جُعِلَتْ فِي مَوْضِعٍ فِيهِ تِجَارَةٌ رَبِحَ صَاحِبُهَا وَ كَثُرَ مَالُهُ سَرِيعاً».

The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) said: "Whoever recites it on the night of Friday, Allah will forgive his past sins. Whoever writes it and keeps it with him will be protected from the deception of devils. Whoever places it under his pillow will see only good dreams and will be safe from restlessness. If someone suffering from migraine drinks its water, he will be cured immediately. If it is written and placed in a place of trade, the owner will profit, and his wealth will increase quickly."

99-/9690 _4- وَ قَالَ الصَّادِقُ(عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَمُ): «مَنْ كَتَبَهَا وَ عَلَّقَهَا عَلَيْهِ أَمِنَ مِنْ شَرِّ كُلِّ مَلَكٍ،وَ كَانَ مُهَاباً فِي وَجْهِ كُلِّ مَنْ يَلْقَاهُ،وَ مَحْبُوباً عِنْدَ النَّاسِ؛وَ إِذَا شَرِبَ مَاءَهَا نَفَعَ مِنْ انْعِصَارِ الْبَطْنِ،وَ سَهُلَ الْمَخْرَجُ بِإِذْنِ اللَّهِ».

Imam al-Sadiq (peace be upon him) said: "Whoever writes it and keeps it with him will be protected from the harm of every angel. He will be respected by everyone he meets and will be loved by the people. If he drinks its water, it will benefit him in case of stomach cramps, and his excretion will be eased by the permission of Allah
