Chapter of Trees: The Tree of Musa (a.s.) and the Palm Tree of 'Isa (a.s.)
Chapter of Trees: The Tree of Musa (a.s.) and the Palm Tree of 'Isa (a.s.)
The most excellent of trees is the tree of Musa (a.s.), from which he heard the call:
“Indeed, I am Allah.”
And in some narrations it has been reported that it is at the place of the grave of Imam Husain (a.s.). [400]
And among the most excellent of trees is the palm tree of Isa (a.s.), and it is narrated that it was in Karbala. [401]
[Baab al-Behaar]:
When Imam Husain (a.s.) was martyred, the Angel entrusted with the seas called out to the inhabitants of the oceans:
“Put on the garments of mourning, for the son of the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w.a.) has been martyred.” [402]
[Baab al-Jibaal]:
The noblest of mountains is Mount Sinai (Toor Seenaa), and according to the narrations it is the location of his grave. It is also the same as Mount Judi (Joodi), upon which the Ark of Nuh (a.s.), the means of salvation for the believers, came to rest. [403]
O brother! Whenever you reflect upon our condition, you will see the truth of the saying of Amir al-Mu'minin Ali (a.s.), who said:
“This world tosses you about just as violent winds toss a ship amid the waves of the sea. Whatever is drowned can never be recovered, and whoever is saved still remains exposed to danger.” [404]
And we do not know that if we were to drown, whether our final destination would be the Fire or not.
But if our ship comes to rest upon the Judi of the Wilayah of Imam Husain (a.s.), then there is hope for salvation.

[Baab al-Ins wa al-Jinn]:
As for mankind (al-Insaan), Allah granted him companions whom he himself described as companions more loyal than those granted to anyone else. [405]
Their state itself bears witness to this.
And Allah granted him special Shi'ah whose love for him is innate and irresistible. Without being able to restrain themselves, they exhaust themselves in mourning for him.
And in the lands of Maachin there is a group who, on the day of Ashura, enter into fire while striking their chests, yet they feel no pain.
As for the jinn, a group of them came to aid him when he departed from Madinah.
The Imam (a.s.) said to them:
“Our appointed meeting place is Karbala.”
And when they later came to him, he did not grant them permission to participate in the fighting. [406]
Another group of them came on the night of the eleventh of Muharram to assist him, but they found that the matter had already passed. [407]
Groups of jinn, both men and women, occupied themselves with weeping and lamentation for him in Karbala, Madinah, Basrah, Kufah, Bayt al-Maqdis, and beneath the tree of Awsajah.
Some of them spread news of his martyrdom throughout distant regions.
Their women would spend the nights lamenting around his body.
Their elegies and poems are recorded in the books of mourning literature. [408]
