Ibrahim Ayah 4
[Quran 14:1-2] In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful. Alif Lam Ra. (This is) a Book which We have revealed to you that you may bring forth men, by their Lord’s permission from utter darkness into light—to the way of the Mighty, the Praised One. (Of) Allah, to Whom belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth; and woe to the unbelievers on account of severe chastisement.
5669- Ali ibn Ibrahim said: Regarding His saying: In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful. Alif Lam Ra. A Book which We have revealed to you, O Muhammad, that you may bring people forth from darkness into light by the permission of their Lord—meaning from disbelief to faith—unto the path of the Mighty, the Praised. And “the path” is the clear way, and the Imamate of the Imams (peace be upon them). Then he said: And His saying: “Allah, to Whom belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth; and woe to the unbelievers on account of severe chastisement”—this is decisive (muhkam).

It would fall upon the hearing of our Prophet (may Allah bless him and his family) in Arabic; then when he spoke it to his people, he spoke to them in Arabic, and it would fall upon their hearing in their own tongue. And no one would address the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and his family) in any language with which he addressed him except that it would fall upon his hearing in Arabic—all of that Gabriel (peace be upon him) would translate for him—as an honoring from Allah, Mighty and Majestic, for him (may Allah bless him and his family).”
