Taha Ayah 55
And as has reached us from ‘Ali (peace be upon him) regarding what would occur of kingship after him among the Banu Umayyah and others: this is the verse which Allah, the Exalted, mentioned in the Book, “Most surely there are signs in this for those endowed with understanding,” knowledge of all of which has reached us. So we were patient with the command of Allah. We are Allah’s stewards over His creation and the treasurers of His religion. We preserve it and conceal it, and we hide it from our enemy, just as the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and his family) concealed [his matter] until Allah permitted him to emigrate and to strive against the polytheists. Thus we are upon the method of the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and his family) until Allah permits us to manifest His religion by the sword and to call the people to it; then we will strike them for it in return, just as the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and his family) struck them at the beginning.

Sulayman al-Daylami, from his father, from Abu ‘Abd Allah (peace be upon him), who said: “ ‘Abd Allah b. Qays al-Masir entered upon Abu Ja‘far (peace be upon him)—[this is] the hadith, and in it: Verily Allah, the Exalted, created creators. When He intends to create a creature, He commands them, and they take from the earth of which Allah said in His Book: ‘From it We created you, and into it We shall send you back, and from it will We bring you forth a second time.’ So they knead the drop of seed with that very earth from which he is created, after He has lodged it in the womb for forty nights. When four months are completed for it, they say: ‘O Lord, what shall we create?’ Then He commands them with what He wills—male or female, white or black. When the soul departs from the body, that very drop departs from it, whatever it may be—small or great, male or female. For that reason the dead person is washed with the ritual bath of janabah.”

99-/7019 _1- Ibn Babawayh said: al-Husayn b. Ahmad (may Allah have mercy on him) narrated to me, from his father, who said: Ahmad b. Muhammad b. ‘Isa narrated to me, from Ahmad b. Muhammad b. Abi Nasr, from ‘Abd al-Rahman b. Hammad, who said: I asked Abu Ibrahim (peace be upon him) about the deceased—why is he washed with the ritual bath of janabah? He said: “Allah, Blessed and Exalted, is too exalted and too pure to dispatch things by His [own] hand. Indeed, Allah, Blessed and Exalted, has two creating angels. When He wants to create a creature, He commands those creators, and they take from the soil of which Allah, Mighty and Majestic, said in His Book: ‘From it We created you and into it We shall send you back and from it will We bring you forth a second time.’ Then they knead it with the drop of seed that is placed in the womb. When the drop has been kneaded with the soil, they both say: ‘O Lord, what shall we create?’—He said—then Allah, Blessed and Exalted, reveals to them what He wills: male or female, believer or unbeliever, black or white, wretched or happy. When he dies, that very drop flows out from him—no other—and for that reason the dead person is washed with the ritual bath of janabah.”
