Valuable Works

Throughout his blessed life, the late Shahristani never rested for a moment from research and writing. He left behind many valuable and precious works. On the threshold of the one-hundredth anniversary of his passing, we mention here the titles of one hundred of his books:

As is evident from the titles of these books, the late Shahristani was one of the outstanding geniuses of his age. He authored works in most of the sciences current in his era. In the fields of beliefs, Qur’anic exegesis, hadith, jurisprudence, legal theory, theology, history, biography, ethics, logic, poetry, calligraphy, classical and modern astronomy, engineering, language, grammar, and even the occult sciences such as Jafr, Raml, palmistry, and the astrolabe, he left behind valuable works.

The contemporary researcher of Shaykh Aqa Buzurg al-Tehrani saw most of the above-mentioned books in the author’s library in the sacred city of Karbala and recorded their details in his encyclopedia, al-Dhari‘ah.
