S 29 Ayat 47

قوله تعالى:

وَ كَذٰلِكَ أَنْزَلْنٰا إِلَيْكَ الْكِتٰابَ فَالَّذِينَ آتَيْنٰاهُمُ الْكِتٰابَ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِهِ وَ مِنْ هٰؤُلاٰءِ مَنْ يُؤْمِنُ بِهِ وَ مٰا يَجْحَدُ بِآيٰاتِنٰا إِلاَّ الْكٰافِرُونَ [47]

47-/29:47

The saying of Allah, the Most High:

"And thus have We revealed to you the Book; so those whom We have given the Book believe in it, and of these there are those who believe in it, and none deny Our signs except the disbelievers." (Surah al-‘Ankabut, 29:47, M H Shakir translation)

99-/8281 _1- مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَبَّاسِ،فَقَالَ:حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ الْخَثْعَمِيُّ،عَنْ عَبَّادِ بْنِ يَعْقُوبَ،عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ ابْنِ حَمَّادٍ،عَنْ أَبِي الْجَارُودِ،عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ(عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَمُ) ،فِي قَوْلِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ: فَالَّذِينَ آتَيْنٰاهُمُ الْكِتٰابَ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِهِ ،قَالَ:«هُمْ آلُ مُحَمَّدٍ(عَلَيْهِمُ السَّلاَمُ) وَ مِنْ هٰؤُلاٰءِ مَنْ يُؤْمِنُ بِهِ ،يَعْنِي أَهْلَ الْإِيمَانِ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْقِبْلَةِ».

Muhammad ibn al-‘Abbas narrated: Muhammad ibn al-Husayn al-Khath‘ami reported from ‘Abbad ibn Ya‘qub, from al-Husayn ibn Hammad, from Abu al-Jarud, from Abu Ja‘far (peace be upon him), regarding the saying of Allah, the Mighty and Majestic: "So those whom We have given the Book believe in it." (Surah al-‘Ankabut, 29:47, M H Shakir translation)

He said: "They are the Family of Muhammad (peace be upon them), 'And of these there are those who believe in it,' meaning: the people of faith from among the people of the Qiblah (i.e., the Muslim community)."

/8282 _2-وعَنْهُ،قَالَ:حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ،عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ،عَنْ أَبِيهِ،عَنِ الْحُصَيْنِ بْنِ الْمُخَارِقِ،عَنْ أَبِي الْوَرْدِ،عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ(عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَمُ) ،فِي قَوْلِهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ: فَالَّذِينَ آتَيْنٰاهُمُ الْكِتٰابَ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِهِ ،قَالَ:«هُمْ آلُ مُحَمَّدٍ(عَلَيْهِمُ السَّلاَمُ)».

And from him (Muhammad ibn al-‘Abbas), he said: Abu Sa‘id narrated to us, from Ahmad ibn Muhammad, from his father, from al-Husayn ibn al-Mukharriq, from Abu al-Ward, from Abu Ja‘far (peace be upon him), regarding the saying of Allah, the Mighty and Majestic: "So those whom We have given the Book believe in it." (Surah al-‘Ankabut, 29:47, M H Shakir translation)

He said: "They are the Family of Muhammad (peace be upon them)."

99-/8283 _1- عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ،قَالَ:وَ فِي رِوَايَةِ أَبِي الْجَارُودِ،عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ(عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَمُ) ،فِي قَوْلِهِ: فَالَّذِينَ آتَيْنٰاهُمُ الْكِتٰابَ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِهِ :«فَهُمْ آلُ مُحَمَّدٍ(عَلَيْهِمُ السَّلاَمُ) وَ مِنْ هٰؤُلاٰءِ مَنْ يُؤْمِنُ بِهِ ،يَعْنِي أَهْلَ الْإِيمَانِ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْقِبْلَةِ».

‘Ali ibn Ibrahim said: In the narration of Abu al-Jarud from Abu Ja‘far (peace be upon him), regarding the saying of Allah, the Most High: "So those whom We have given the Book believe in it," (Surah al-‘Ankabut, 29:47, M H Shakir translation) he said: "They are the Family of Muhammad (peace be upon them), 'And of these there are those who believe in it,' meaning the people of faith from among the people of the Qiblah (i.e., the Muslim community)."
