The Seven Appeals Relating to the Condition of that Noble One (a.s.)
The Seven Appeals Relating to the Condition of that Noble One (a.s.)
Indication
The fourth reason:
And this is a remarkable reason:
That the seven talbiyahs are responses to seven appeals for help that were made by that noble one (a.s.) because of his own condition, the people's turning away from supporting him, their indifference toward him, and his being a stranger and alone.
These were not appeals in which he asked anyone for anything.
Rather, the Imam (a.s.) referred to them as:
“Wailing appeals” or “cries of lament.” [949]
Each of them produced its own unique effect.
Every one had a particular influence and a special power to move hearts.
Through each of them, a distinct transformation and change of circumstances took place.
Therefore, open your ears well, for the echoes of those cries for help still reach the ears of his lovers and followers.
They should listen attentively and answer them.
