Surah Al-Humazah: Its Merit

99-/11895 _1- ابْنُ بَابَوَيْهِ:بِإِسْنَادِهِ،عَنْ أَبِي بَصِيرٍ،عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ،قَالَ: «مَنْ قَرَأَ وَيْلٌ لِكُلِّ هُمَزَةٍ لُمَزَةٍ فِي فَرَائِضِهِ،أَبْعَدَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ الْفَقْرَ،وَ جَلَبَ عَلَيْهِ الرِّزْقَ،وَ يَدْفَعُ عَنْهُ مِيتَةَ السَّوْءِ».

99-/11895 Ibn Babuwayh: Through his chain of narrators from Abu Basir, from Abu Abdillah, who said: “Whoever recites (Woe to every slanderer, defamer!) [Surah Al-Humazah 104:1, translation by M. H. Shakir] in his obligatory prayers, Allah will keep poverty away from him, bring provision towards him, and protect him from an evil death.”

99-/11896 _2- وَ مِنْ(خَوَاصِّ الْقُرْآنِ):رُوِيَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ(صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ آلِهِ)أَنَّهُ قَالَ: «مَنْ قَرَأَ هَذِهِ السُّورَةَ كَانَ لَهُ مِنَ الْأَجْرِ بِعَدَدِ مَنِ اسْتَهْزَأَ بِمُحَمَّدٍ وَ أَصْحَابِهِ،وَ إِنْ قُرِئَتْ عَلَى الْعَيْنِ نَفَعَتْهَا».

99-/11896 And from (Khawas al-Qur’an): It is narrated from the Prophet (peace be upon him and his family) that he said: "Whoever recites this Surah will be granted rewards equal to the number of those who mocked Muhammad and his companions, and if it is recited upon the eye, it benefits it."

99-/11897 _3- وَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ(صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ آلِهِ): «مَنْ قَرَأَهَا وَ كَتَبَهَا لِعَيْنِ وَجِعَةٍ،تُعَافَى بِإِذْنِ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى».

99-/11897 The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his family) said: “Whoever recites this Surah and writes it for an aching eye, it will be healed by the permission of Allah, the Exalted.”

99-/11898 _4- وَ قَالَ الصَّادِقُ(عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَمُ): «إِذَا قُرِئَتْ عَلَى مَنْ بِهِ عَيْنٌ،زَالَتْ عَنْهُ الْعَيْنُ بِقُدْرَةِ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى».

99-/11898 Al-Sadiq (peace be upon him) said: "If it is recited upon one afflicted by the evil eye, the evil eye will depart from him by the power of Allah, the Exalted."
