32. دﻓﻊ ﺑﻼ ﺑﺎ ﮔﻠﺒﺎﻧﮓ ﯾﺎ ﺣﺴﯿﻦ

در اﯾﺎم اﻗﺎﻣﺖ اﯾﻨﺠﺎﻧﺐ در اﺳـﺘﺎﻧﺒﻮل 1354) - 1359 ﺷﻤﺴـﯽ( در ﭼﻬﻞ ﻣﺴـﯿﺮ، ﮐﺸﺘﯽ ﺑﻪ ﺟﺎي اﺗﻮﺑﻮس ﮐﺎر ﻣﯽ ﮐﺮد و ﻣﺴﺎﻓﺮان را ﺑﯿﻦ ﺑﺨﺶ اروﭘﺎﯾﯽ و آﺳﯿﺎﯾﯽ اﺳﺘﺎﻧﺒﻮل ﺟﺎ ﺑﻪ ﺟﺎ ﻣﯽ ﮐﺮد.

اﯾﻦ ﮐﺸﺘﯽ ﻫﺎ ﺳﻪ ﻃﺒﻘﻪ ﺑﻮدﻧﺪ و در ﻫﺮ ﻣﺴﯿﺮ ﺳﻪ ﻫﺰار ﻧﻔﺮ ﺣﻤﻞ ﻣﯽ ﮐﺮدﻧﺪ.

روزي ﻣﺮﺣﻮم ﭘـﺪرم ﺑﻪ اﺳـﺘﺎﻧﺒﻮل آﻣـﺪه ﺑﻮد، روز ﯾـﮏ ﺷـﻨﺒﻪ ﮐﻪ ﻣﺴـﺠﺪ ﻣـﺎ ﺗﻌﻄﯿـﻞ ﺑﻮد، ﺧﻮاﺳﺘﯿﻢ اﯾﺸﺎن را ﺑﻪ ﺟﺰﯾﺮه ﻫﺎي درﯾﺎي ﻣﺮﻣﺮه ﺑﺒﺮﯾﻢ.

در ﻣﯿـﺎن درﯾـﺎي ﻣﺮﻣﺮه، ﭘﻨـﺞ ﺟﺰﯾﺮه ﻣﺴـﮑﻮﻧﯽ ﺑﻮد ﮐﻪ در ﻣﯿـﺎن آﻧﻬـﺎ ﮐﺸـﺘﯽ ﮐـﺎر ﻣﯽ ﮐﺮد. ﭘـﺪرم، ﻣـﺎدرم و اﻋﻀـﺎي ﺧـﺎﻧﻮاده را ﺑﺮداﺷﺘﯿﻢ، ﺳﻮار ﮐﺸﺘﯽ ﺷـﺪﯾﻢ، ﯾـﮏ ﺳـﺎﻋﺖ و ﻧﯿﻢ از اﺳـﺘﺎﻧﺒﻮل ﺗﺎ ﯾﺎﻟﻮوا راه ﺑﻮد، ﺑﯿﻦ دو ﺟﺰﯾﺮه ﻫﯿﺒﻪ ﻟﯽ و ﺑﯿﻮك آدا درﯾﺎ ﻃﻮﻓﺎﻧﯽ ﺷﺪ، ﻃﺒﻘﻪ ي زﯾﺮﯾﻦ ﮐﺸﺘﯽ ﭘﺮ از آب ﺷﺪ و ﻣﺴﺎﻓﺮﯾﻦ آن ﻗﺴﻤﺖ ﺑﻪ دو ﻃﺒﻘﻪ ي وﺳﻂ و ﻓﻮﻗﺎﻧﯽ آﻣﺪﻧﺪ. ﺷﺪّت ﻃﻮﻓﺎن در ﺣﺪّي ﺑﻮد ﮐﻪ ﮐﺸﺘﯽ در ﻣﯿﺎن اﻣﻮاج درﯾﺎ ﺑﻪ ﭼﭗ و راﺳﺖ ﮐﺞ ﻣﯽ ﺷﺪ و ﻧﺰدﯾﮏ ﺑﻮد ﮐﻪ واروﻧﻪ ﺷﻮد.

ﻣﻦ ﺑﺪون ﺗﻮﺟﻪ ﺑﻪ اﯾﻦ ﮐﻪ ﻏﺎﻟﺐ ﻣﺴﺎﻓﺮان از اﻫﻞ ﺳﻨّﺖ ﻫﺴﺘﻨﺪ، ﯾﮏ ﻣﺮﺗﺒﻪ ﻓﺮﯾﺎد زدم: »ﯾﺎ ﺣﺴﯿﻦ!« دﯾﮕﺮ ﻣﺴﺎﻓﺮان ﻧﯿﺰ ﺑﻪ ﺧﯿﺎل اﯾﻦ ﮐﻪ اﯾﻦ دﻋﺎي ﻧﺠﺎت از ﻃﻮﻓﺎن اﺳﺖ، ﻫﻤﻪ

ﯾﮏ ﺻﺪا ﻓﺮﯾﺎد زدﻧﺪ: »ﯾﺎﺣﺴﯿﻦ«!

ﯾﮏ ﻣﺮﺗﺒﻪ درﯾﺎ آرام ﺷﺪ و ﻃﻮﻓﺎن ﻗﻄﻊ ﺷﺪ، ﻣﺴﺎﻓﺮان دور ﻣﺮا ﮔﺮﻓﺘﻨﺪ و ﮔﻔﺘﻨﺪ: اﯾﻦ ﭼﻪ ذﮐﺮي ﺑﻮد؟ ﺑﻪ ﻣﺎ ﻧﯿﺰ ﯾﺎد ﺑﺪه! ﮔﻔﺘﻢ: ﭘﯿﺎﻣﺒﺮ اﮐﺮم ﺻـﻠﯽ اﷲ ﻋﻠﯿﻪ و آﻟﻪ ﻓﺮﻣﻮده ﮐﻪ: اﻣﺎم ﺣﺴـﯿﻦ ﻣﺸـﻌﻞ ﻫـﺪاﯾﺖ و ﮐﺸﺘﯽ ﻧﺠﺎت اﺳﺖ. ﺷـﻤﺎ ﻧﯿﺰ ﻫﺮ وﻗﺖ ﮔﺮﻓﺘﺎر ﺷﺪﯾـﺪ، ﺑﻪ اﯾﻦ ﮐﺸﺘﯽ ﻧﺠﺎتﭼﻨﮓ ﺑﺰﻧﯿﺪ.

32. Repelling Calamity with the Call of “Ya Husain”

During my stay in Istanbul (between 1975–1980 CE / 1354–1359 SH), in forty different routes, ferries were operating in place of buses, transporting passengers between the European and Asian sides of Istanbul.

These ferries were three levels, each carrying three thousand passengers on every route.

One day, my late father had come to Istanbul. On a Sunday, when our mosque was closed, we decided to take him to the islands of the Sea of Marmara.

In the middle of the Sea of Marmara there are five inhabited islands between which ferries travel.

We took my father, my mother, and other family members, boarded the ferry, and set off. It was about an hour and a half from Istanbul to Yalova. Between the two islands of Heybeliada and Büyükada, the sea became stormy.

The lower deck of the ship filled with water, so the passengers from that deck came up to the middle and upper decks. The storm was so severe that the ferry rocked left and right among the waves and was close to capsizing.

Without considering that most of the passengers were from the Sunni community, I suddenly shouted: “Ya Husain!”

The other passengers, thinking that this was a prayer of safety from the storm, all together cried out: “Ya Husain!”

At once, the sea calmed, the storm stopped, and the passengers gathered around me and asked:

“What was that dhikr (invocation)? Teach us too!”

I replied:

“The Noble Prophet (s.a.w.a.) has said: ‘Verily Husain is the lamp of guidance and the ship of salvation.’ Whenever you are in trouble, hold fast to this ship of salvation.”
