Consoling Others by That Noble One (a.s.) on the Night and Day of ʿĀshūrāʾ

[Chapter: Bringing Joy to a Believer and Visiting Them]

This is among the most virtuous of deeds, and that noble one, Imam Husain (a.s.), exerted the utmost effort in bringing happiness to and consoling the women and men among his companions and Ahl al-Bayt (a.s.).

Yet, because the land of Karbala is the land of sorrow and affliction (karb wa balāʾ), and the Day of ʿĀshūrāʾ is by its very nature a day of grief and distress, no joy came to them.

As for visiting them (ziyārah), it was realized in various forms and ways.
