Taha Ayah 22
Allah, the Exalted, said: Recite, O Muhammad: He it is Who sends blessings on you, and His angels (do also), that He may bring you forth out of utter darkness into the light; and He is Merciful to the believers. [Quran 33:43, M. H. Shakir] And My blessing is mercy for you and your community. As for your hearing the voice of Ali: your brother Moses son of Imran, when he came to Mount Tur and witnessed the tremendous matters he witnessed, what he saw distracted him from what was being conveyed to him. So, from awe, he was occupied by mentioning before Allah the thing most beloved to him, which was the staff, when I said to him: And what is this in your right hand, O Moses? And since Ali was the most beloved of people to you, We called you in his language and speech, so that the terror in your heart would be calmed and so that you would understand what is being conveyed to you. He said: And I have other uses for it—there are a thousand miracles in it. This is not the place to mention them.
99-/7003 _17- Ali ibn Ibrahim: And in the narration of Abu’l-Jarud, from Abu Ja‘far (peace be upon him): His saying, “I beat down leaves with it for my sheep,” means: I shake the trees with it for my sheep; “and I have other uses for it.” Out of fear he could not speak [at length], so he condensed his words and said, “And I have other uses for it,” meaning: other needs.
99-/7004 _18- Ali ibn Ibrahim, said: My father narrated to me, from al-Qasim ibn Muhammad, from Sulayman ibn Dawud al-Minqari, from Hafs ibn Ghiyath, from Abu ‘Abdillah (peace be upon him), who said: Iblis (may Allah curse him) came to Moses (peace be upon him) while he was supplicating to his Lord. An angel said to him, “Woe to you! What do you hope to gain from him while he is in this state, conversing with his Lord?” He replied, “I hope from him what I hoped from his father Adam while he was in the Garden.” The hadith in full has preceded under His saying: And We brought him near, in conversation, in Surat Maryam [2].

99-/7005 _1- Ibn Babawayh: From his father, who said: Sa‘d ibn ‘Abdullah narrated to us, from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Khalid, from his father, from Muhammad ibn Sinan, from Khalaf ibn Hammad, from a man, from Abu ‘Abdillah (peace be upon him): Allah, Blessed and Exalted, said to Moses (peace be upon him): “Insert your hand into your bosom; it will come out white without any blemish.” [Quran 27:12, M. H. Shakir] He said: “Without vitiligo.”
