99-/4912 _8- ‘Alī b. Ibrāhīm: On His saying, the Exalted: And they will manifest regret when they see the chastisement, and (it will be) decided between them with justice, and they shall not be dealt with unjustly. He said: Muhammad b. Ja‘far narrated to me; he said: Muhammad b. Aḥmad narrated to me, from Aḥmad b. al-Ḥusayn, from Ṣāliḥ b. Abī Ḥammād [1], from al-Ḥasan b. Mūsā al-Khashshāb, from a man, from Ḥammād b. ‘Īsā, from one who narrated it, from Abū ‘Abd Allāh (peace be upon him). He said: He was asked about the word of Allah, Blessed and Exalted: And they will manifest regret when they see the chastisement. It was said to him: What benefit is there in concealing regret while they are in punishment? He said: “They disliked the enemy’s gloating.” Al-‘Ayyāshī: from Ḥammād b. ‘Īsā, from one who narrated it, from Abū ‘Abd Allāh (peace be upon him), who said: He was asked about Allah’s saying: And they will manifest regret when they see the chastisement—and he mentioned the hadith [2].

Quran 10:55–58 (M. H. Shakir):
10:55 Now surely whatever is in the heavens and the earth is Allah's; now surely Allah's promise is true, but most of them do not know.
10:56 He gives life and causes death, and to Him you shall be brought back.
10:57 O men! there has come to you indeed an admonition from your Lord and a healing for what is in the breasts and a guidance and a mercy for the believers.
10:58 Say: In the grace of Allah and in His mercy—in that they should rejoice; it is better than that which they gather.
99-/4913 _1- ‘Alī b. Ibrāhīm: Regarding His saying, the Exalted: Now surely whatever is in the heavens and the earth is Allah’s... He said: it is decisive (muḥkam). Then He said: O mankind! There has come to you an admonition from your Lord and a healing for what is in the breasts and a guidance and a mercy for the believers—he said: the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and his family) and the Qur’an. Then He said: Say to them, O Muhammad: In the grace of Allah and in His mercy—[he said: the grace is the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and his family), and His mercy is the Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon him)]—in that let them rejoice. He said: let our Shi‘a rejoice; it is better than what our enemies have been given of gold and silver.

99-/4914 _2- Al-‘Ayyāshī: from al-Sakūnī, from Abū ‘Abd Allāh, from his father (peace be upon them both), who said: “A man complained to the Prophet (may Allah bless him and his family) of a pain in his chest. 99-/4916 _4- From Abū Ḥamza, from Abū Ja‘far (peace be upon him). He said: I asked: Say: In the grace of Allah and in His mercy—in that let them rejoice; it is better than that which they gather? He said: “Acknowledgment of the prophethood of Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) and leadership by the Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon him) is better than what these people amass in their worldly life.”

99-/4918 _6- Ibn Bābawayh said: ‘Alī b. Aḥmad b. ‘Abd Allāh b. Aḥmad b. Abī ‘Abd Allāh al-Barqī narrated to us, from his father, from his grandfather Aḥmad b. Abī ‘Abd Allāh al-Barqī, from his father Muḥammad b. Khālid, who said: Sahl b. al-Marzubān al-Fārisī narrated to us, who said: Muḥammad b. Manṣūr narrated to us, from ‘Abd Allāh b. Ja‘far, from Muḥammad b. al-Fayḍ b. al-Mukhtār, from his father, from Abū Ja‘far Muḥammad b. ‘Alī al-Bāqir, from his father, from his grandfather (peace be upon them). He said: “The Messenger (may Allah bless him and his family) went out one day riding, and ‘Alī (peace be upon him) went out walking. He said to him: O Abā al-Ḥasan, either mount or return, for Allah, Mighty and Majestic, has commanded me that you should ride when I ride, walk when I walk, and sit when I sit—except in the case of a prescribed limit (ḥadd) of Allah where you must stand and sit accordingly. And Allah has not honored me with any honor except that He has honored you with the like of it; and He has singled me out with prophethood and messengership, and He has made you my guardian (walī) therein—you uphold His limits and the difficult matters. By Him who sent Muhammad with the truth as a Prophet, none who denies you has believed in me, nor has anyone who rejects you affirmed me, and none has believed in me [1] who disbelieves in you. Your excellence is of my excellence, and my excellence [2] is the excellence of Allah. And it is the word of Allah, Mighty and Majestic: Say: In the grace of Allah and in His mercy—in that let them rejoice; it is better than that which they gather. The grace of Allah is the prophethood of your Prophet, and His mercy is the guardianship (wilāya) of ‘Alī b. Abī Ṭālib. So by that—by prophethood and guardianship—let them rejoice, meaning the Shi‘a; it is better than what their opponents gather of family, wealth, and children in the abode of this world. By Allah, O ‘Alī! You were not created except to worship your Lord, and that the landmarks of religion be known by you, and that the obliterated path be set right by you. Whoever strays from you has indeed gone astray, and none will be guided to Allah, Mighty and Majestic, who is not guided to you and to your guardianship. And it is the saying of my Lord, Mighty and Majestic: And most surely I am most Forgiving to him who repents and believes and does good, then continues to follow the right direction [1]—meaning to your guardianship. My Lord, Blessed and Exalted, has commanded me to make obligatory upon your creation what He has made obligatory of my right, and your right is indeed obligatory upon whoever believes in me. Were it not for you, the party of Allah would not be known, and by you the enemy of Allah is known. Whoever meets Him without your guardianship meets Him with nothing. And Allah, Mighty and Majestic, sent down to me: O Messenger! Deliver what has been revealed to you from your Lord—meaning concerning your guardianship, O ‘Alī—and if you do it not, then you have not delivered His message [2]. And had I not delivered what I was commanded of your guardianship, my deeds would have been nullified; and whoever meets Allah, Mighty and Majestic, without your guardianship, his deeds are nullified. It is a promise fulfilled for me, and I say only the word of my Lord, Blessed and Exalted, and what I say is from Allah, Mighty and Majestic; He revealed it concerning you.”’

99-/4921 _9- Ibn al-Fārisī: Ibn ‘Abbās said: Say: In the grace of Allah and in His mercy—in that let them rejoice; it is better than that which they gather. The grace from Allah is the Prophet (may Allah bless him and his family), and His mercy is ‘Alī (peace be upon him).
