Surah Al-‘Asr Its Virtue

99-/11887 _1- ابْنُ بَابَوَيْهِ:بِإِسْنَادِهِ،عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ أَبِي الْعَلاَءِ،عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ(عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَمُ)،قَالَ: «مَنْ قَرَأَ (وَ الْعَصْرِ)فِي نَوَافِلِهِ بَعَثَهُ اللَّهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ مُشْرِقاً وَجْهُهُ،ضَاحِكاً سِنُّهُ،قَرِيرَةً عَيْنُهُ حَتَّى يَدْخُلَ الْجَنَّةَ».

99-/11887 Ibn Bābawayh narrated through his chain from al-Ḥusayn ibn Abī al-ʿAlāʾ, from Abī ʿAbdillāh (peace be upon him), who said: “Whoever recites (Wal-ʿaṣr — I swear by the time) [Surah Al-ʿAsr, 103:1] in his recommended prayers (nawāfil), Allah will resurrect him on the Day of Resurrection with a radiant face, smiling happily, delighted and pleased until he enters Paradise.”

99-/11888 _2- وَ مِنْ(خَوَاصِّ الْقُرْآنِ):رُوِيَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ(صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ آلِهِ)،أَنَّهُ قَالَ: «مَنْ قَرَأَ هَذِهِ السُّورَةَ كَتَبَ اللَّهُ لَهُ عَشْرَ حَسَنَاتٍ،وَ خُتِمَ لَهُ بِخَيْرٍ،وَ كَانَ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ الْحَقِّ،وَ إِنْ قُرِئَتْ عَلَى مَا يُدْفَنُ تَحْتَ الْأَرْضِ أَوْ يُخْزَنُ،حَفِظَهُ اللَّهُ إِلَى أَنْ يُخْرِجَهُ صَاحِبُهُ».

99-/11888 From the (Khawāṣṣ al-Qurʾān): It is narrated from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his progeny) that he said: "Whoever recites this Surah, Allah will record for him ten good deeds, his life will end upon goodness, and he will be among the people of truth. And if it is recited over anything that is buried underground or stored, Allah will protect it until its owner retrieves it."

99-/11889 _3- وَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ(صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ آلِهِ): «مَنْ أَدْمَنَ قِرَاءَتَهَا خَتَمَ اللَّهُ لَهُ بِالْخَيْرِ،وَ كَانَ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ الْحَقِّ، وَ إِنْ قُرِئَتْ عَلَى مَا يُخْزَنُ [1]حَفِظَهُ إِلَى أَنْ يَرْجِعَ إِلَى صَاحِبِهِ».

99-/11889 _3- The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) said: "Whoever regularly recites it, Allah will seal his end with goodness, and he will be among the people of truth. And if it is recited over what is stored, it will be preserved until it returns to its owner."

99-/11890 _4- وَ قَالَ الصَّادِقُ(عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَمُ): «إِذَا قُرِئَتْ عَلَى مَا يُدْفَنُ حُفِظَ بِإِذْنِ اللَّهِ،وَ وُكِّلَ بِهِ مَنْ يَحْرُسُهُ إِلَى أَنْ يُخْرِجَهُ صَاحِبُهُ».

99-/11890 _4- Al-Sadiq (peace be upon him) said: "If it is recited over what is buried, it will be preserved by Allah’s permission, and one will be assigned to guard it until its owner retrieves it."
