The Virtue of Surah Al-Qariyah

99-/11846 _1- ابْنُ بَابَوَيْهِ:بِإِسْنَادِهِ،عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ ثَابِتٍ،عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ(عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَمُ)،قَالَ: «مَنْ قَرَأَ وَ أَكْثَرَ مِنْ قِرَاءَةِ الْقَارِعَةِ آمَنَهُ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ مِنْ فِتْنَةِ الدَّجَّالِ أَنْ يُؤْمِنَ بِهِ،وَ مِنْ فَيْحِ [1]جَهَنَّمَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى».

99-/11846 Ibn Bābawayh, through his chain of transmission, from ‘Amr ibn Thābit, from Abū Ja‘far (peace be upon him), said: “Whoever recites and frequently recites al-Qāri‘ah, Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, will grant him safety from the trial of the Dajjāl — that he should believe in him — and from the blazing heat of Jahannam on the Day of Resurrection, if Allah, the Exalted, so wills.”

99-/11847 _2- وَ مِنْ(خَوَاصِّ الْقُرْآنِ):رُوِيَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ(صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ آلِهِ)أَنَّهُ قَالَ: «مَنْ قَرَأَ هَذِهِ السُّورَةَ ثَقَّلَ اللَّهُ مِيزَانَهُ مِنَ الْحَسَنَاتِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ،وَ مَنْ كَتَبَهَا وَ عَلَّقَهَا عَلَى مُحَارَفٍ [2]مُعْسِرٍ مِنْ أَهْلِهِ وَ خَدَمِهِ،فَتَحَ اللَّهُ عَلَى يَدَيْهِ وَ رَزَقَهُ».

99-/11847 And from Khawāṣṣ al-Qur’ān, it is narrated from the Prophet (blessings of Allah be upon him and his family) that he said: “Whoever recites this sūrah, Allah will make his scale heavy with good deeds on the Day of Resurrection. And whoever writes it and hangs it upon a deprived person from among his family or servants, Allah will open (the way) for him and provide for him.”

99-/11848 _3- وَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ(صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ آلِهِ): «مَنْ كَتَبَهَا وَ عَلَّقَهَا عَلَى مُحَارَفٍ،سَهَّلَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ أَمْرَهُ».

99-/11848 And the Messenger of Allah (blessings of Allah be upon him and his family) said: “Whoever writes it and hangs it upon a deprived person, Allah will ease his affairs.”

99-/11849 _4- وَ قَالَ الصَّادِقُ(عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَمُ): «إِذَا عُلِّقَتْ عَلَى مَنْ تَعَطَّلَ وَ كَسَدَتْ سِلْعَتُهُ،رَزَقَهُ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى نَفَاقَ سِلْعَتِهِ،وَ كَذَا كُلُّ مَنْ أَدْمَنَ فِي قِرَاءَتِهَا فَعَلَتْ بِهِ ذَلِكَ بِإِذْنِ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى».

99-/11849 And al-Ṣādiq (peace be upon him) said: “If it is hung on one whose trade has stalled and whose merchandise has remained unsold, Allah, the Exalted, will grant his merchandise success. And likewise, whoever persists in its recitation, it will have that effect upon him, by the permission of Allah, the Exalted.”
