Al-Hijr Ayah 39

قوله تعالى:

قَالَ رَبِّ بِمَا أَغْوَيْتَنِي لَأُزَيِّنَنَّ لَهُمْ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَلَأُغْوِيَنَّهُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ [الحجر: 39]

Quran 15:39 (M. H. Shakir): He said: My Lord! because Thou hast caused me to err, I will certainly make (evil) fair-seeming to them on the earth, and I will certainly cause them all to deviate.

99- _1- (نَهْجِ الْبَلَاغَةِ): قَالَ أَمِيرُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ(عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَمُ) فِي الْخُطْبَةِ الْقَاصِعَةِ: «فَاحْذَرُوا عِبَادَ اللَّهِ عَدُوَّ اللَّهِ أَنْ يُعْدِيَكُمْ بِدَائِهِ، وَأَنْ يَسْتَفِزَّكُمْ بِنِدَائِهِ، وَأَنْ يُجْلِبَ عَلَيْكُمْ بِخَيْلِهِ وَرَجِلِهِ، فَلَعَمْرِي لَقَدْ فَوَّقَ لَكُمْ سَهْمَ الْوَعِيدِ، وَأَغْرَقَ إِلَيْكُمْ بِالنَّزْعِ الشَّدِيدِ، وَرَمَاكُمْ مِنْ مَكَانٍ قَرِيبٍ، فَقَالَ: رَبِّ بِمَا أَغْوَيْتَنِي لَأُزَيِّنَنَّ لَهُمْ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَلَأُغْوِيَنَّهُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ.»

99- _1- (Nahj al-Balagha): The Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon him) said in the Sermon of al-Qasi‘ah: “So beware, servants of Allah, of the enemy of Allah—lest he infect you with his disease, rouse you with his call, and descend upon you with his cavalry and infantry. By my life, he has already fitted for you the arrow of threat, drawn against you with a severe pull, and shot at you from a near range, when he said: ‘My Lord! because Thou hast caused me to err, I will certainly make (evil) fair-seeming to them on the earth, and I will certainly cause them all to deviate.’”

قوله تعالى:

ادْخُلُوهَا بِسَلَامٍ آمِنِينَ [الحجر: 46]

Quran 15:46 (M. H. Shakir): Enter it in peace, secure.

99- _2- مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ: عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنِ ابْنِ مَحْبُوبٍ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ رِئَابٍ وَيَعْقُوبَ السَّرَّاجِ، عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ(عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَمُ): «أَنَّ أَمِيرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ(عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَمُ) خَطَبَ النَّاسَ فَقَالَ فِيهَا: أَلَا وَإِنَّ التَّقْوَى مَطَايَا ذُلُلٌ حُمِلَ عَلَيْهَا أَهْلُهَا، وَأُعْطُوا أَزِمَّتَهَا فَأَوْرَدَتْهُمُ الْجَنَّةَ، وَفُتِحَتْ لَهُمْ أَبْوَابُهَا، وَوَجَدُوا رِيحَهَا وَطِيبَهَا، وَقِيلَ لَهُمْ: ادْخُلُوهَا بِسَلَامٍ آمِنِينَ.»

99- _2- Muhammad ibn Ya‘qub: from ‘Ali ibn Ibrahim, from his father, from Ibn Mahbub, from ‘Ali ibn Ri’ab and Ya‘qub al-Sarraj, from Abu ‘Abdillah (peace be upon him): “Amir al-Mu’minin (peace be upon him) delivered a sermon to the people, in which he said: Behold! Godwariness is gentle mounts upon which their people are carried; they gave it their reins, and it led them to Paradise; its gates were opened for them; they found its fragrance and its sweetness; and it was said to them: Enter it in peace, secure.”

قوله تعالى:

وَاعْبُدْ رَبَّكَ حَتَّى يَأْتِيَكَ الْيَقِينُ [الحجر: 99]

Quran 15:99 (M. H. Shakir): And serve your Lord until there comes to you that which is certain.

99- _3- فِي كِتَابِ(مِصْبَاحِ الشَّرِيعَةِ): قَالَ الصَّادِقُ(عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَمُ): «هَلَكَ الْعَامِلُونَ إِلَّا الْعَابِدُونَ، وَهَلَكَ الْعَابِدُونَ إِلَّا الْعَالِمُونَ، وَهَلَكَ الْعَالِمُونَ إِلَّا الصَّادِقُونَ، وَهَلَكَ الصَّادِقُونَ إِلَّا الْمُخْلِصُونَ، وَهَلَكَ الْمُخْلِصُونَ إِلَّا الْمُتَّقُونَ، وَهَلَكَ الْمُتَّقُونَ إِلَّا الْمُوقِنُونَ، وَإِنَّ الْمُوقِنِينَ لَعَلَى خُلُقٍ عَظِيمٍ، قَالَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى: وَاعْبُدْ رَبَّكَ حَتَّى يَأْتِيَكَ الْيَقِينُ.»

99- _3- In the book (Misbah al-Shari‘ah): Al-Sadiq (peace be upon him) said: “The workers perish, except the worshippers; the worshippers perish, except the learned; the learned perish, except the truthful; the truthful perish, except the sincere; the sincere perish, except the Godwary; the Godwary perish, except those endowed with certainty; and indeed the people of certainty are upon a magnificent character. Allah, Exalted, said: And serve your Lord until there comes to you that which is certain.”
