Hud Ayah 24-31
Surely those who believe and do good, and humble themselves before their Lord, these are the dwellers of the garden, in it they will abide. (Qur’an 11:23, M. H. Shakir)
5069-/1- Ali ibn Ibrāhīm said: As for His saying, “Surely those who believe and do good, and humble themselves before their Lord,” it means: they humbled themselves to Allah and worshipped Him.

The likeness of the two parties is as the blind and the deaf and the seeing and the hearing; are the two equal? Will you not then mind? (Qur’an 11:24, M. H. Shakir)

5073-/1- Up to His saying, “Allah best knows what is in their souls; surely then I should be of the unjust” (11:31): ‘Alī ibn Ibrāhīm said: It means the believers and the unbelievers [1]. And regarding His saying, “And we do not see any have followed you but those who are the meanest of us at first thought” (11:27), it means the poor and the needy, those whom we see at first glance. Then he said, regarding His saying, “So have the (signs of the) prophets been obscured to you,” it means: they became confused to you such that you did not recognize them nor understand them. And (regarding), “O my people! I do not ask you for wealth for it; my reward is only with Allah, and I am not going to drive away those who believe; surely they shall meet their Lord” (11:29), it refers to the poor who believed in him. Then he said, regarding His saying, “And O my people! Who will help me against Allah …” up to His saying, “for those whom your eyes hold in contempt” (i.e., your eyes fall short regarding them and you belittle them), “Allah will by no means grant them any good”—“Allah best knows what is in their souls; surely then I should be of the unjust” (11:31). And earlier, regarding verse [24], a report has preceded about His saying, “Then maybe you will give up part of what is revealed to you …” [2]
And my advice will not profit you, should I intend to advise you, if Allah intends that He should cause you to err; He is your Lord and to Him shall you be returned. (Qur’an 11:34, M. H. Shakir)
99-/5074 _2- Al-‘Ayyāshī—from Ibn Abī Nasr al-Bazantī, from Abū al-Hasan al-Ridā (peace be upon him), who said: “Allah said regarding Nūh (peace be upon him): ‘And my advice will not profit you, should I intend to advise you, if Allah intends that He should cause you to err.’ He said: The matter is up to Allah; He guides and He leads astray.”
99-/5075 _3- From Abū al-Tufayl, from Abū Ja‘far, from his father (peace be upon them both), regarding His saying, “And my advice will not profit you, should I intend to advise you”: He said, “It was revealed concerning al-‘Abbās.”
