25. The Favor of Imam Husain (a.s.) upon elegy poets
A poet was composing an elegy for Imam Husain (a.s.) and wrote this hemistich (half-line):
“When his body fell upon the land of Karbala…”
But nothing came to his mind for the second hemistich.
That night, in a dream, Lady Zahra (peace be upon her) told him:
“Why do you not complete your poem?”
He replied:
“May my parents be sacrificed for you! I could not find anything appropriate to say.”
She instructed him:
“Say: ‘Its shroud was woven from the shimmering rays of the sun.’”
