Chapter on the Air and Space Granted to Imam Husain (a.s.)

باب هوا و فضا اعطايي به حسين

خداوند عطا نموده است به آن جناب از هوا و فضا ما بين حائر و آسمان را، پس از براي آن اوصافي قرار داده:يكي آنكه: محل آمدوشد ملائكه است [382] و معراجي است كه اعمال زوار از آن بالا مي‌رود. [383] .و اسماعيل كه ملكي است موكل به هوا، هر روز در آنجا حاضر مي‌شود و با ملائكه حائر جواب و سؤال مي‌نمايد. [384] .دوم: از آن مقام، عملي به آسمان بالا رفت كه مثل و مانند نداشت كه شهادت آن جناب باشد.سوم: محل نزول رحمت خاصي است كه مثل ندارد.چهارم: محل صعود فيض است به جهت اهل آسمانها چونكه معراج ملائكه است. [385] .

Chapter on the Air and Space Granted to Imam Husain (a.s.)

Allah bestowed upon Imam Husain (a.s.) that region of air and space which lies between the Haaer (the sacred precinct of his shrine) and the heavens.

And He assigned to it several special qualities:

First: It is the place through which the angels come and go, [382] and it is an ascension-path through which the deeds of his visitors rise upward. [383]

Ismāʿīl, an angel appointed over the air, comes there every day and exchanges questions and answers with the angels of the Haaer. [384]

Second: From that place ascended to the heavens a deed the like of which had never existed before, namely the martyrdom of Imam Husain (a.s.).

Third: It is the place where a unique and unparalleled special Divine mercy descends.

Fourth: It is the place from which blessings ascend to the inhabitants of the heavens, because it is the ascension-place of the angels. [385]
