ʿĪsā (a.s.), the Son of Maryam (a.s.), and Imam Husain (a.s.), the Son of al-Zahrāʾ (a.s.)

عيسي فرزند مريم و حسين فرزند زهرا

عيسي پسر مريم عذراء است، و حسين پسر فاطمه‌ي زهراست، مريم را ملائكه ندا كردند بطهارت و اصطفاء، و فاطمه (عليهاالسلام) را نيز ندا نمودند به همين نداء عيسي (عليه‌السلام) روح‌الله و كلمةالله بود، و حسين (عليه‌السلام) نورالله و رحمت‌الله بود. عيسي پسر سيده‌ي نساء آن زمان بود، و حسين (عليه‌السلام) پسر سيده‌ي عالميان است. آن عيسي (عليه‌السلام) سنگ را بالين مي‌نمود [1443] ، و اين عيسي (عليه‌السلام) سري نداشت كه بر بالين نهد آن عيسي لباس خشن مي‌پوشيد و اين عيسي (عليه‌السلام) بدنش عريان بود. آن عيسي (عليه‌السلام) طعام سخت مي‌خورد، و اين عيسي (عليه‌السلام) سه روز طعام نخورد.آن عيسي (عليه‌السلام) مالي نداشت، وا ين عيسي (عليه‌السلام) سه روز طعام نخورد. آن عيسي (عليه‌السلام) مالي نداشت، و اين عيسي (عليه‌السلام) اموال و لباسش را به غارت بردند. آن عيسي (عليه‌السلام) ولدي نداشت كه سبب حزنش شود، و اين عيسي (عليه‌السلام) ولدي داشت كه از مصيبت او قواي او سست و نور چشمش تمام شد، ولي صبر كرد در راه خدا. آن عيسي (عليه‌السلام) (سايه‌بان) او مشارق و مغارب بود، و اين عيسي (عليه‌السلام) سه روز در آفتاب افتاده بود. آن عيسي (عليه‌السلام) دابه‌اش پاهايش بود، و خادمش دستهايش بود [1444] ، و اين عيسي (عليه‌السلام) را نگذاشتند كه بر پا بايستد، و انگشتش را به جهت انگشتري بريدند و كتفش را قطع نمودند، و دستهايش را از بدن جدا كردند. [1445] .

ʿĪsā (a.s.), the Son of Maryam (a.s.), and Imam Husain (a.s.), the Son of al-Zahrāʾ (a.s.)

ʿĪsā (a.s.) was the son of Maryam al-ʿAdhrāʾ (a.s.), and Imam Husain (a.s.) was the son of Fāṭimah al-Zahrāʾ (a.s.).

The angels called out to Maryam (a.s.) regarding her purity and chosen status, and Fāṭimah (a.s.) was likewise addressed with the same call.

ʿĪsā (a.s.) was the Spirit of Allah (Rooh-Allah) and the Word of Allah (Kalemat-Allah), and Imam Husain (a.s.) was the Light of Allah (Noor-Allah) and the Mercy of Allah (Rehmat-Allah).

ʿĪsā (a.s.) was the son of the foremost lady of the women of his time, and Imam Husain (a.s.) was the son of the foremost lady of all the worlds.

That ʿĪsā (a.s.) used a stone as his pillow. [1443]

And this ʿĪsā (a.s.) had no head upon which to rest on a pillow.

That ʿĪsā (a.s.) wore coarse clothing.

And this ʿĪsā (a.s.) had a body left uncovered.

That ʿĪsā (a.s.) ate rough and simple food.

And this ʿĪsā (a.s.) went three days without food.

That ʿĪsā (a.s.) possessed no wealth.

And this ʿĪsā (a.s.) had his possessions and garments plundered.

That ʿĪsā (a.s.) had no child whose suffering would become a cause of grief for him.

And this ʿĪsā (a.s.) had a child whose tragedy weakened his strength and extinguished the light of his eyes, yet he remained patient for the sake of Allah.

That ʿĪsā (a.s.) had the east and the west as his canopy.

And this ʿĪsā (a.s.) lay beneath the sun for three days.

That ʿĪsā (a.s.) had his own feet as his mount, and his own hands as his servant. [1444]

And this ʿĪsā (a.s.) was not allowed even to stand upon his feet.

His finger was cut off for the sake of a ring.

His shoulder was severed.

And his hands were separated from his body. [1445]
