Al-Isra Ayah 80

He will open it, and he will fall in prostration. Allah will say: Raise your head, intercede and your intercession will be accepted; ask and you will be given. He will raise his head, then fall in prostration again. Allah will say: Raise your head, intercede and your intercession will be accepted; and ask and you will be given. Then he will raise his head, so he intercedes and it is accepted, and he asks and he is granted.

99-/6522) _15- From Samā‘ah b. Mihrān, from Abū Ibrāhīm (peace be upon him), regarding Allah’s saying: It may be that your Lord will raise you to a praised position. He said: People will stand on the Day of Resurrection for forty days [1]. The sun will be commanded to ride over the heads of the servants, and sweat will bridle them. The earth will be commanded not to absorb any of their sweat. They will go to Adam (peace be upon him) and seek his intercession; he will direct them to Noah (peace be upon him). Noah will direct them to Abraham; Abraham (peace be upon him) will direct them to Moses; Moses (peace be upon him) will direct them to Jesus (peace be upon him); and Jesus will direct them to Muhammad (may Allah bless him and his Family), saying: You must go to Muhammad, the Seal of the Prophets. Muhammad (may Allah bless him and his Family) will say: I am for it; then he will proceed until he reaches the gate of Paradise and knocks. He will be asked: Who is this?—and Allah knows best. He will say: Muhammad. It will be said: Open for him. When the gate is opened, he will meet his Lord and fall in prostration, and he will not raise his head until it is said to him: Speak, ask and you will be given, and intercede and your intercession will be accepted. He will raise his head, meet his Lord, and fall in prostration again, and the same will be said to him. He will raise his head, to the point that he will intercede even for one who has been burned in the Fire. None among the people on the Day of Resurrection, from all the nations, will be more eminent than Muhammad (may Allah bless him and his Family). This is the meaning of Allah’s saying: It may be that your Lord will raise you to a praised position.

Quran 17:80) And say: O my Lord! cause me to enter a truthful entering and cause me to go forth a truthful going forth, and grant me from Thee an authority to assist. (M. H. Shakir)

99-/6523) _1- ‘Alī b. Ibrāhīm: It was revealed on the day of the Conquest of Mecca, when the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and his Family) intended to enter it. Allah revealed: And say, O Muhammad: My Lord, cause me to enter a truthful entering and cause me to go forth a truthful going forth… He said: His saying “an authority to assist” means: a helper.

99-/6524) _2- Al-‘Ayyāshī: From Abū al-Jārūd, from Zayd b. ‘Alī (peace be upon him), regarding Allah’s saying: And grant me from You an authority to assist—he said: The sword.

99-/6525) _3- Ibn Shahr Āshūb, from the book of Abū Bakr al-Shīrāzī: Ibn ‘Abbās said about And say: My Lord, cause me to enter a truthful entering and cause me to go forth a truthful going forth: he meant Mecca. And [about] And grant me from You an authority to assist, he said: Allah answered His Prophet’s supplication and granted him ‘Alī b. Abī Tālib (peace be upon him) as an authority who helped him against his enemies.

He said: When the Qā’im rises, he will remove [1] the dominion of falsehood.

99-/6527) _2- Sharaf al-Dīn al-Najafī said: Shaykh al-Ṭūsī (may Allah have mercy on him) [2] mentioned a hadith, with his isnād from his men, from Nu‘aym b. Ḥukaym, from Abū Maryam al-Thaqafī, from the Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon him). He said: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and his Family) took me until he brought me to the Ka‘bah and said to me: Sit. So I sat beside the Ka‘bah, and the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and his Family) climbed onto my shoulders. Then he said to me: Stand up. I stood up; when he saw weakness from me, he said: Sit; so he came down [3]. Then he said to me: O ‘Alī, climb onto my shoulders. So I climbed onto his shoulders; then the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and his Family) stood up with me, and it seemed to me that if I wished I could have reached the horizon of the sky. I climbed atop the Ka‘bah and the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and his Family) moved aside and said to me: Cast down their greatest idol [4]. It was of copper, pegged to the ground by iron stakes. The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and his Family) said to me: Work at it; so I worked at it while the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and his Family) was saying: The truth has come and the falsehood has vanished; surely falsehood is a vanishing (thing). I kept working at it until I was able to get hold of it. He said to me: Hurl it down; so I hurled it down and it shattered. Then I came down from atop the Ka‘bah and departed with the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and his Family), fearing that someone from Quraysh or others might see us.

99-/6528) _3- Ibn Bābawayh: Abū ‘Alī Aḥmad b. Yaḥyā al-Mukattib narrated to us, who said: Aḥmad b. Muḥammad al-Warrāq narrated to us, who said: Bishr b. Sa‘īd b. Ḥarb al-Hilālī, the governor of Medina, say: I asked Ja‘far b. Muḥammad (peace be upon him), and I said to him: O son of the Messenger of Allah, there is a question in my mind that I wish to ask you. He said: If you wish, I will inform you of your question before you ask me, and if you wish, then ask.
