Al-Hijr Ayah 80

Al-Hijr, verse 80

Souls were placed in bodies, and [it was] written between their eyes: disbeliever and believer; and [what each soul is] tried with until the Day of Resurrection. Then a Qur’an was sent down about that to Muhammad (may Allah bless him and his family), wherein He said: “Most surely there are signs in this for those who examine” (Qur’an 15:75, M. H. Shakir). The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and his family) was the one endowed with insight into signs, then I after him, then the legatees from my progeny after me. When I look at them, I contemplate them, and I inform them of what is in them, and I do not lie.

99-/5923 _21- Sharafu al-Dīn al-Najafī said: Al-Fadl ibn Shadhan (may Allah have mercy on him) narrated, with his chain from his men, from ‘Ammar ibn Abi Matruf, from Abu ‘Abdillah (peace be upon him), who said: I heard him say: “There is no one except that it is written between his eyes: believer or disbeliever. It is veiled from the creatures except the Imams and the legatees; it is not veiled from them.” Then he recited: “Most surely there are signs in this for those who examine” (Qur’an 15:75, M. H. Shakir). Then he said: “We are those who examine the signs, and—by Allah—no one enters upon us except that we recognize him by that mark.”
