The Angels Attend the Funeral of the Visitors

ملائكه در تشييع جنازه زوار، حاضر مي‌شوند

چهاردهم: هر گاه زائر در بين راه بميرد، پس در خبر است از حضرت صادق (عليه‌السلام) كه ملائكه در تشييع جنازه‌ي او حاضر مي‌شوند، و كفن و هنوط از بهشت از براي او مي‌آورند، و بر او نماز مي‌گذارند، و از ريحان بهشت در زير او فرش مي‌كنند، و زمين از اطراف او در قبر گشاده مي‌شود از هر سمت به قدر سه ميل، و دري از بهشت، به سوي قبرش مي‌گشايند كه از روح و ريحان آن بر او داخل مي‌شود تا روز قيامت. [804] .پانزدهم: هر گاه در بين راه به او اذيتي رسد از حبس يا ضرب، پس در خبر است از حضرت صادق (عليه‌السلام) كه به عوض هر روزي كه حبس شود، يا غمي به او رسد، فرحي در قيامت به او خواهد رسيد، راوي عرض كرد كه اگر بعد از حبس او را بزنند به جهت قصد زيارت؟ فرمود: به عوض هر زدني يك حوري به او دهند، و به عوض هر دردي هزار حسنه به او داده شود و هزار هزار گناه از او محو گردد، و هزار هزار درجه از برايش بلند شود، و از كساني باشد كه در قيامت هم همصحبت با پيغمبر (صلي الله عليه و آله) خدا باشند تا مردم از حساب فارغ شوند، و حمله‌ي عرش با او مصافحه نمايند، و باو [ صفحه 279] گويند: هر حاجت كه مي‌خواهي بخواه، و ضارب او را بياورند به مقام حساب، و بدون سؤال و جواب بازوي او را بگيرند و ببرند به نزد ملكي، پس شربتي از حميم جهنم و شربتي از غسلين به او دهند، و او را بر كوههاي آتش مقام دهند، به او گويند بچش آنچه را از براي خود مهيا كردي بدست خود، كه مهمان خدا و رسول را زدي، و اذيت نمودي، پس آن مضروب را بنزد در جهنم آورند، و بگويند نظر نما و ببين زننده‌ي خود را، و آنچه به او رسيده است از عذاب الهي، آيا سينه‌ات شفا يافت، و به قصاص خود رسيدي؟ مي‌گويد: حمد خدا را. [805] .شانزدهم: هرگاه در راه زيارت كشته شود، پس در حديث حضرت صادق (عليه‌السلام) مروي است، كه فرمود به اول قطره‌اي كه از خونش ريخته شود جميع گناهانش آمرزيده شود، و ملائكه طينت اصليه‌ي [او را مي‌شويند] تا اينكه پاك شود مانند طينت انبياء، از آنچه با او مخلوط بوده است از طينت كفار، و قلب او را بشويند تا اينكه منشرح گردد، و مملو شود از ايمان، و ملاقات نمايد خدا را پاك و پاكيزه، از جميع معاصي و صفات رذيله، و شفاعت او را قبول نمايند در حق اهل بيتش، و هزار نفر از برادرانش، و ملائكه با جبرئيل و ملك‌الموت بر او نماز كنند، و كفن و حنوط او را از بهشت بياورند، و قبر او را وسيع نمايند، و چراغها در قبرش روشن كنند، و دري از بهشت به سوي او گشايند، و ملائكه تحفه‌ها از بهشت به جهت او بياورند، و بعد از هيجده روز او را به حظيره‌ي قدس بالا برند، پس با اولياء خدا باشد تا نفخه‌ي صور او را دريابد، و بعد از نفخه‌ي دوم از قبر بيرون آيد، پس اول كسي كه با او مصافحه كند پيغمبر (صلي الله عليه و آله)خدا باشد و اميرالمؤمنين و اوصياء و بشارتش دهند، و بگويند: با ما باش، پس او را بر حوض بدارند، پس آب بياشامد: و به هر كه بخواهد بدهد. The Angels Attend the Funeral of the Visitors

Fourteenth: If the visitor dies while on the journey, then it is narrated from Imam al-Ṣādiq (ʿalayhi al-salām) that the angels attend his funeral procession. They bring for him a shroud and perfume from Paradise, offer prayers over him, and spread fragrant plants from Paradise beneath him.

The earth in his grave is expanded around him from every direction by a distance of three miles, and a door from Paradise is opened toward his grave through which its fragrance and comfort enter upon him until the Day of Resurrection. [804]

Fifteenth: If the visitor suffers harm on the journey, such as imprisonment or beating.

It is narrated from Imam al-Ṣādiq (ʿalayhi al-salām) that for every day he is imprisoned or for every grief that reaches him, a joy will be granted to him on the Day of Resurrection.

The narrator asked:

“If after imprisonment he is beaten because of his intention to visit?”

The Imam replied:

“For every blow he receives, one houri will be given to him. For every pain he suffers, one thousand good deeds will be written for him, one million sins will be erased from him, and one million degrees will be raised for him.

He will be among those who remain in the company of the Messenger of Allah (ṣallallāhu ʿalayhi wa ālihi) on the Day of Resurrection until the people finish their reckoning.

The Bearers of the Throne will shake hands with him and say:

‘Ask for whatever need you desire.’

As for the one who beat him, he will be brought to the place of reckoning. Without any questioning or accounting, his arm will be seized and he will be taken before an angel. Then he will be given a drink of the boiling water of Hell and a drink of Ghislīn, and he will be placed upon mountains of fire.

It will be said to him:

‘Taste what you prepared for yourself with your own hands, for you struck and harmed a guest of Allah and His Messenger.’

Then the one who was beaten will be brought near the gate of Hell and told:

‘Look and see the one who struck you and what punishment from Allah has reached him. Has your heart now been satisfied and have you received your recompense?’

He will reply:

‘Praise belongs to Allah.’” [805]

Sixteenth: If a person is killed on the road to the visitation.

It is narrated from Imam al-Ṣādiq (ʿalayhi al-salām) that with the very first drop of his blood that falls, all his sins are forgiven.

The angels wash his original clay (ṭīnah) until it becomes purified like the clay of the Prophets, cleansing it from whatever had been mixed with it from the clay of the disbelievers.

They wash his heart until it becomes expanded and filled with faith.

He then meets Allah purified and cleansed from all sins and blameworthy qualities.

His intercession is accepted on behalf of his family members and one thousand of his brothers.

The angels, together with Jibrāʾīl and the Angel of Death, perform prayers over him.

His shroud and perfume are brought from Paradise.

His grave is made spacious, lights are illuminated within it, and a door from Paradise is opened toward him.

The angels bring gifts from Paradise for him.

After eighteen days, he is raised to the Sacred Enclosure (Ḥaẓīrat al-Quds), where he remains with the friends of Allah until the Trumpet is blown.

After the second blast of the Trumpet, he emerges from his grave.

The first ones to shake hands with him will be the Messenger of Allah (ṣallallāhu ʿalayhi wa ālihi), Amīr al-Muʾminīn, and the other Awṣiyāʾ.

They will give him glad tidings and say:

“Remain with us.”

Then he will be brought to the Pond (Ḥawḍ), where he will drink from it and will be permitted to give drink to whomever he wishes. [806]
